(http://readyfyght.com/crimsonpeach/Images/Bomb-Lord.png) Work in progress.
Dimensions 48x48, fits in your average lucavi sized apartment.
Concept:
A real mans boss, accompanied by "Bomb Nobles", Its attacks will be "fire based" but only visually so as to avoid fire absorption. Its abilities will include:
Cauterize: A fairly powerful heal.
Conflagration: Best described as "FIRE EVERYWHERE." Most likely to have targeting akin to Galaxy stop. I.E. Hit all enemies. Depends on if this would cause it to prioritize the attack over all else, more likely to just be a large AOE attack.
Re-Ignite: Resurrects fallen bomb allies, probably with full health.
Innate: Critical Quick, Float, Re-raise (Maybe), Immortal (MAYBE.)
Bomb Noble:
Re-Ignite: See above.
Self Destruct: Self explanatory.
Combustion: Set target on fire obviously.
Innate: Critical Quick, Float.
Poke, prod, and dissect it. Have a suggestion? Give it.
Man that is stellar looking, you have such a distinctive style of spriting, but I feel this can still working in FFT well. My only critic would be that the contrast might be a little harsh for FFTs palette, but it is just so cool. So wicked.
You're something, Curu! Great concept.

Aw. This skill hurts...
Whoa...This is awesome!! Amazing!! Truly amazing ^^
Hmm, definitely an appetizing thought to put in Mercenaries, haha! Good work!
that thing will grab joo and eat you joo alive
...I want more. That's awesome.

The palette is taken directly from a bomb. It is just my application of the colors that make it seem like that.
Edit: I was also aiming for a "burning coals" look, which is why there so many dark patches. I don't believe I can effectively capture it at this size.
For a flaming ball of incinerating death, that is quite a sexy looking creature...
I'd self-destruct myself for a chance to see that baby in action.
To you, ser, I bow...
How many colors is it? I can't help but wonder if it could be given a pink palette in order to use it as Typoon. I also can't help but wonder what you could do with Behemoths, since you did this well with a super bomb.
Palette looks fine to me. I have no crits. Awesome work.
Man this thing looks scary.
Great concept, I'm looking forward to seeing other positions.

Wow I can't believe that is the original palette, it is amazing what you can achieve with using different shades in different amounts. I think you definitely achieved the "burning coals" effect. So I think I stand corrected on my critique
This remenber me of FF6 when you need to rescue Shadow's daughter, whose name I forgot, on the fire mansion with Strago,it also remenbers me of FF6 Bomb sprite
wow that looks great. cant wait to see more
Sweet Jesus, that sprite is hot! Ho!
Anyway, this is a seriously fantastic sprite. I dunno how it'd look in-game, but regardless I'd love to see this completed.
this is Curu were talking about!
she makes badass monsters. i hope she completes the sprite because i would LOVE to use it
I hope you have time to make an entry for the sprite contest, Curu. ^_^
the sprite looks badass but there is a lot of black inbetween the fingers, especially on the left(front) hand... it looks a little awkard. Otherwise the black works for the burning coals look

If I did I would forfeit if I won. So I'm not bothering.
Very FF like
Amazing work, as usual >: D
Excellent Job. . . I too hope this gets finished. . . awesome sprite. . .
i want to see the lord bomb
