I'm pretty sure I have the frame size for humanoid units laying around somewhere but I know for a fact I don't have the frame layout for monsters like Queklain anywhere. Hard to work when I don't know how the sprite fits into the frame.
If anyone would feel like dropping that on me then that'd just be super swell.
In case you can't find the frame for humanoids, here is one I did for type 2 quite a while ago. I've since updated it to match the new layout for sprites. To add it to a sprite open it in Gimp using the "Open as layers" option.
I think there are several versions of the monster sprites. I know for sure that at least the Chocobo layout is different from the rest.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the colors don't mean anything except for on the arms section. Tan = unused, Red = sprite's back/right hand, Blue = sprite's front/left hand. By back and front, I mean drawn "behind" and "in front of" the sprite.
I'll have to get home to get mine
Don't forget about the preview and animate options for sprites in ShiShiSpriteEditor that is packaged with FFTPatcher on the frontpage for download Curu. It is a huge time saver for sprite testing on the fly.
Shishi doesn't seem to be able to preview monsters from what I saw.
Monster can't be preview by using Shishi right?

yeah..
This is the complete list of the sizes of all tiles used by sprites: 8, 8 32, 16
16, 8 32, 24
16, 16 32, 32
16, 24 32, 40
24, 8 48, 16
24, 16 40, 32
24, 24 48, 48
32, 8 56, 56
I think that all big monsters (everything that uses the MON SHP) use 48x48 for "walking" frames and 56x56 for "attacking" frames.
Thank you kindly, Melonhead.
