Title: Things you could rant about for ages
Post by: Mental_Gear on September 06, 2009, 02:14:53 pm
List things you could pen rants about, gaming-related or otherwise, and see if we have any common hates. As for me:

PSP Go (stupid idea, no way it's profitable)
Soul Calibur IV (letdown, massive drop in quality over III, shockingly bad online)
Kingdom Hearts (the first one. Why does it have such a massive fanbase?)
Playstation Network store
Novelty DS and Wii games
Bethesda Softworks' QA department

QuoteThings you could rant about for ages

one of the things I could rant about for ages is religion (I have read a great deal on the subject and the evidence against it)

you asked what I can rant about for ages , I'm telling you

-Theists who push their belief on others.
-People who play Madden and Halo, and think it's okay to call themselves gamers.
-Hypocrites who refuse to admit it.
-Critics who don't do research before critiquing.
-Kingdom Hearts 2(Why does it have such a massive fanbase?)

Everything new that has replaced anything old that is obviously way cooler/more functional the way it was before.
*sigh* I'm getting old & grumpy...

All valid points. The only new transformers I like are the ones based on the movies. Except the jets. The jets suck.

I can tolerate the new cartoon slightly better than the movies. And when I say slightly, I mean slightly like the way that a tube worm is slightly like an animatronic Tyrannosaurus.

Yes the movies where horrible. I like the toys they spawned. The new animated series has it's moments, but most of the toys based on it are too streamlined looking. Especially Bumblebee and Optimus.

You have to admit the Grimlock that came outta the cartoon is pretty sweet, though.

I've got many a good rant, but one that I love going on and on about is about this news story:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orpgUPNS ... re=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orpgUPNSRPI&feature=related)

Or, more specifically, how ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY IDIOTIC IT IS.

That video has inspired without a doubt my favorite rant. I've only given it a couple times, but every time, it's been pure gold.

Oh, and how much I hate Crisis Core: Final Fantasy. That's a good rant too.

That's the problem. Who knows? At the end of the PSX version they wanted you to assume she did kill him. In WotL however they chose to change it up and now they want you to assume he survived.

I hate that.

Poetic justice: Delita dies and is replaced by a less angsty and benevolent body double the way Ovelia was.

Sick twist: Delita and Ovelia die. Then Ramza and Alma come back out of the shadows to take their place. As an added bonus Ramza and his sister continue the incestuous tendencies of many real world royalty. Eeewww! ^_^

My fiancee is related to old Russian Nobility and she has a tiny genetic imperfection in her left toe to prove it. It's from all the incest! =P

Well, my last name can be traced back all the way to Romania, so as far as I'm concerned, I'm the bastard descendant of Dracula.

People think I should take her last name...
Ivan Esteban --> Ivan Bagrationoff

They are. When my DNA combined when I was developing I gained the gene for being tall. A gene my parents DNA doesn't carry.

I am a giant to them, bwahahaha.

The original "Ovelia" died shortly after she was born they never say how long or which, but they hint that it was still while the original Ovelia was young, than any remotely similar looking girl would do the trick.

A "Poetic Justice" in this case would be either Delita and Ramza dying Or Delita and Ramza surviving. It's one or the other really. A body double for a grown man who looked Pretty unique unto the FFT world, I couldn't see it done.
