Title: Elidibs(Human Form) Sprite

I decided to make the full sprite for Elidibs,but I got some problems in the very beggining,I dont know how to remove the arms properly for the armless animations,any idea on how i can make it?

why dont you use parts that were already being worked on?
the normal black mage hobbles too much, elidibs always seemed slightly taller to me, here i was using meliadoul as a base

also, the palette he has here is exact

Finally! It is great to see someone pick back up the Elidibs sprite! If any NPC in FFT deserves a full sprite it's this fellow (besides we've given mostly everyone else a sprite by now, heh...)

something not very nice that Im not able to do by myself,the sprite was based from a female and have dancing animations instead of singing animations and it looks slighty darker than the regular sprite

Oh, Dancing and Singing animations are universal from sprite to sprite, you needn't worry about that.

I think he was only made dark to really fit in with Deep Dungeon.  If he is to be used outside of it, he really should be using a lighter pallet.

I see,but this singing animation is different,the charecter raises his hand to perform the song,it dont happen with this one

Well that's true... that does oddly does seem like some sort of male/femal differentiation. I wouldn't worry about that so much though.

Are you actually sure about that palette Zozma because I have always thought that it look off. Bloodthirster's looks much better. Though like some mentioned it might have to do with the DD lighting.

the pallete isnt a problem at all,it can be easily changed,now Im thinking on how I will make his remaining animations,since they are the most difficult ones and Im not a good spriter

im pretty sure i took it strait out of eventchr.

he was probably designed to look dakrer because he was in the middle of deep dungeon. anyway, because of the new tool for eventchr we have, you can be absolutely sure by looking there.

do a good job please!

I also took mine from the eventchr tool,so I will re-color Zozma's sprite after finishing it

I will need some backup with dead and critical animations,I dont have the skills to do them

its basically the mage with gold trim, most of the frames that exist will work, its basically about replacing the head

Not my project, but I tried to help a little. It's been a while since I sprite edited this game. I took Zozma's and edited some more.

This should help a bit

Updated it. It's pretty much done. Needs touch ups and some parts may need to be shifted into place. Should be really easy from here.

And Elidibs is almost complete! The only problem I can see is the sprite itself is based off the old model, while nowadays the portraits are at the bottom rather then the middle.

Yep, that looks fantastic! Grand work, everyone involved! Elidibs now has his sprite! Let's see... that makes...

Gelwan (cute as a button!), Blansch,Bolmna, Kanbabrif...

I guess that leaves...

Balbanes (definitely still needs a full sprite), Bar Keeper...? , Random Craftsman at Warjilis, Buff pirate like fellow at Warjilis, Besrodio (That's probably another fellow who deserves it), Random Townsman at Warjilis, Bar Patron in Deep Dungeon event.

And... those are the only people we're missing, hehe.

Whoa! Great work everybody. So do we still hope to change out his palette and make it a little more daytime-friendly? Regardless, this definitely looks fantastic.

Yeah Zozma that isn't the correct palette at all. I just went through evtchr and this is absolutely the correct one. I am also posting the portrait for your guy's use.

Oh and here is an alternate palette idea for a color of the robes. It is the color of the stone Elidibs has, but man it looks good.

yeah,the sprite is done at my view,thanks to accomplish this,I probably wont have time to work on it and it would take a lot of time to complete,to be perfect only that recolor is needed,there is a faster way than paint to do that?

Well, have a couple of problems. Seemingly, there was a color missing, so it's off by one shade -.- I'm working on this, though. -Fixed-

Secondly, I'm not sure I remember how to get this to work, right.

Lastly, I'm not good with portraits at all. That one up there isn't a simple cut and paste, so I'm lost. And tired. :(

so to complete it,just need someone to add the portrait and make the .spr,I tried but some kind of error happened,I also tried to correct,but it seems to work wrong if you import the image with this allignment

Yeah, I also keep getting errors. Not too entirely sure why, other than it's a different color. What I'm thinking of doing is reverting it back to the old color, where it worked, and letting someone do the palette change.

thank you for checking on that cheetah, i bet i know what happened (it should be easy to convert to the correct palette at this point too)

i got the incomplete sheet from zodiac originally, it was probably made out of screenshots or something which made everythign darker... oh well, no matter as long as it can be corrected.

I -may- work on some other stuff, but I'm currently making 8 sprites for my own "story," (just about generics that have traveled with Ramza and aged/upgraded with him.)

As far as I can see, it's working nicely. I haven't tried spears or water, yet, nor most of the monk skills. Spell casting might be a little weird looking, as it almost looks like a part of his face/hat brightens up as opposed to his mouth opening.

To clarify, I don't have him opening his mouth, considering it'd be misplaced. I do plan to do some more testings, mind you. Today was just a bit busy in RL :)
