Never done any of this, no clue how to get CFW, Pandora battery and MMS, and hoping for answers as to how all that is accomplished. In the meantime, until I can acquire all of that....

I have a PSP 2000 and my official Sony firmware is 5.50
As far as I know...5.50 is too late man. I'm in the same situation. PM me and I'll give you a workaround though.

The second one. Custom saves are infamous around here, for no adequately explored reason.

Download the patcher. Fiddle with it for a couple of days. Then come back to ask questions(I.E. search for the answer then ask question).

i got a problem how can i change the sprites in the party roaster and in the battle formation screen cuz i added celia and lettie but they have the sprite of ramza chapter1 in both of them
i had two psp's with cfw but my wife broke them... now i'm getting a new one.(praying that she doesnt break it this time lol) but it is easy to get cfw on your psp, just youtube it.
i think those one's you can't change... they don't have a formation screen sprite so ramza shows up... i think you can only change the ones that have a formation screen sprite.
but when i use the shishi sprite manager appears both of them i can´t use those ones to exchange it??
you might need to rephrase that question... but i think what your trying to say is that when you replace a sprite like ramza it still shows him in the formation screen right? well there is another program that lets you edit that... it's on one of the other topics in the forum, with a tutorial.

Since you have CFW you can run a WotL ISO. Don't ask for one. Make it yourself from the UMD, use a program called 'Chicken Flavored Water'. Yes, I know it sounds stupid.
@Mental_Gear: there is no need for that i use the m33 VSH menu to do that

I wouldn't mind knowing this myself.
It's going to do that in the Formation Screen, but when you go to battle, it'll show the proper sprites.
so i can't fix that problem well thanxs anyway and yes when you start the fight it shows the proper sprites
The reason it shows Ramza instead of the proper sprite is because those formation portraits/sprites are static pictures from files called
UNIT.BIN and WLDFACE.BIN there should be a program in the miscellaneous downloads section called FFTEVGRP.
Sprites that are never meant to join your party, like the two sprites you have listed, do not have the corresponding unit picture and portrait, so to make them show up, you may have to replace some sprites that join your party.
