Title: Parting Shot!
Post by: DonalbaneBeoulve on June 19, 2009, 04:18:29 pm
So what's the deal with Parting Shot (insert name here) has left your party. So far I have only gotten this when I have sharked certain characters in or replaced the fefault Ramza with a different one via the World Debug menu. Is this supposedly what happens if an ally gets "invited" by an enemy mediator?

I've gotten this the most often whenever I use Altima 1 in a battle, and most recently after completing fort Zeakden after replacing Delita and (presumably Ramza) although it said Reis had left my party. Does anyone know a reason for this?

Your brave is too low or your faith is too high(94 IIRC).

Enemy mediator cannot use invite.
It can only happen if an enemy with tame critical one of your normal monsters...but idk what happens because I resetted (I couldn't lose a 70 brave red chocobo in a monster-only game ^_^)

Why can't/don't enemy mediators use Invite?

it is disabled for AI use, because if an AI unit does invite a player unit, the player never loses control of the unit (though I haven't checked to see if you get to keep the unit once the fight is over, but I assume you do)

so it's useless for AI until someone ASM hacks to fix it

Basically square never programmed the consequences of or the AI script  for it's use by the enemy.

Also invite has a 0% chance to be learned.
