Are you talking about something that is currently possible for FFT, or for any FF type of game?

Berserker -- Axes, innate:Berserk.  high HP.

Mystic Knight -- Fighter with mage-like sword-skills.  swords, heavy armor.

Red Mage -- Sampler spellbook, decent PA.  swords, light armor.

Blue Mage -- learns monster skills.  mostly MA based.

Viking -- mostly melee class.  Given innate water movements.

Scholar -- Deals in books.  Able to create elemental weakness in foes, or elemental barriers on allies (though this may require some serious hacking).

I think you misunderstood, Philsov.  He says that "final fantasy hasn't done".

I've never seen a druid.  The transformation type might not be possible, but I'm sure some fantasy source's version of druids is doable.  A friar, real priest, or something of that sort hasn't really been made a Job.  Not including a couple relatively minor roles in FFT at least...  FFT's priest doesn't count.  That's a white mage.  I don't believe FF has ever had a Warlock, Siren, Witch, or Valkyrie.  Yes, I'm stealing classes from Tactics Ogre:  The Knight of Lodis.  I can't think of much FF hasn't had.

the original name for ff3's magus job was warlock. siren is a common enemy/summon throughout the the series. witch = female black mage.

valkyrie isnt in any ff game. go with that.

Eh, none of the classes I mentioned the way they were in the source I used appeared in the FF series.  The names might have been used at some point, but what they actually are weren't... I don't think.  Hm... well maybe Gladiator and Parivir have been close enough to Warlock.  They just lack the support spells, but that is able to be done through their secondary skill set.  I suppose Siren was essentially a summoner... meh.  Witch... crap, basically a female Oracle from FFT.  Valkyrie's the only one left after all, even with more thorough analysis.

Well you wound up right anyways, just not in the way you meant to.  I'm pretty much out of ideas with that.  Valkyries from that game weren't too terribly interesting, ability-wise.  A bravery boosting ability that doesn't work on self and four or so magic projectiles on a female only spear user and you'll have one.  (They were fragile for fighting units, so despite having a couple perks (spears were great weapons in that game), they went down easily enough that you only wanted one or MAYBE two at most.)

something clever like how Square enix came up with sky pirate or blue mage something very unique.

Nightwalker.  A Werewolf, more canine than human, name of Melion.  I have a thing for werewolves, and beings like them.  Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, The Mask, anything that releases a persons true nature.

About the red mage... I turned off the calculate switch for the stronger spells, which makes the calculator into a red mage hybrid.
