The way it's currently done is such a time/soul drain. What I was thinking was that every time you dismiss a monster, it's automatically poached. Is that possible?
No dice?
Personally, I've always found recruiting monsters to poach to be far more annoying than poaching them outright.
It's certainly possible to make poach innate, though obviously that'd have some consequences concerning crystals, treasure, and undead monsters.
Innate poach? That won't help any. What I'm suggesting is that every time you dismiss a monster, it's automatically poached. That way, you don't ever have to go to battle. It can all be done on The World Map.
Anything's possible. Would require an extensive hack, though.
I don't think it's that difficult to do, actually. In fact, I think it would be pretty simple. Like a couple lines of code.
Wouldn't this essentially defeat the whole purpose of poaching? Sounds like you find poaching boring, which I don't disagree with you, but then why not just have the rare items able to be gotten from common and rare drops. Your ultimate goal is the items anyway so just switch rare and common item drops.
Or even edit the inventory of shops to carry the rare items.
Poaching on dismisal would take away space we need for things that cant be worked around; itd just be easier to do as me or kourama has said.
Not that it isnt a bad idea, but if all your doing is dismissing them, i see no harm in buying the items directly.
