Has anyone attempted any kind of hack on the Auto Potion skill at all?
Not that I know of.
Woo
*hacks auto-potion and makes it so that instead of using a potion you use a fire bomb*
Not
it can make for some interesting results... similar to how if you rig up elemental/dash, counter flood and counter tackle change thusly as well.
Auto-elixir... /drool
lol auto elixir
I can just imagine auto-elixir-ing my stock to zero off 36-damage broad swords.
How about auto-Hi-Ethering your stock to zero from 3 damage throw stones?
In my own patch, I turned Potions into X-Potions, and X-Potions into Potions. I did this, so enemies would really benefit from Auto Potion (because now, Auto-Potion always uses the best available potion).
Of course, high Brave enemies with Auto-Potion can be a pain to defeat though.
That's a pretty good idea. It would also make players think twice about spamming Auto-Potion since they could potentially be wasting their more powerful items on weak attacks.
What about Auto-Potion = uses it's own unique formula?
Like, turn it into an Auto-20%HP Heal Potion.
If you can't do more than 20% of the target's max HP in damage in one attack, your damage is negated.
Or something like it... perhaps rename it too. (First Aid? Defiance? Replenish??)
That would not only enable AI to take advantage of it, but alto would balance it out pretty well.
The whole problem right now is that it relies on inventory...
So make potions as cheap as humanly possible, hack potions as needed, and maybe even go so far as to shift hi-pot/x-pot/elixir(!) to compensate and disallow potion from being learned by chemists.
With Razel's Potion amount hack, my potions heal 15% of life. so even late game, its a useful reaction ability. It has pretty much already been solved if you dont mind potions doing in %s insteadof static health.
Maybe we could select what potion are we going to use, by spreading new abilities such as -auto hi potion- or -auto X-potion- and you got it
