Title: Lioneditor Savehook Issue...
Post by: Llednar on February 03, 2009, 05:54:36 pm
You may remember me from the Lioneditor tutorial (funny how fate plays with us, isn't it?), but now I have a new odd issue.  Ok I am using the PSP WOTL UMD method of using lioneditor.

When I wrote the tutorial I was using a memory stick that had only a little bit of room left on it.  So I bought a new 4 gb stick of the same brand.

Well I attached the savehook, using the button on the top right corner of the Lioneditor screen, to the correct drive and all.  I turned on the game, beat the first level saved and went off.

The Savehook didn't work... It gave me the usual method as if I didn't even use it in the first place.  I repeated the entire thing and even downloaded a second Lioneditor for the new Memory stick, but it still won't work.  Do I need to change a setting or something, becuase I can't remember if I changed anything before doing the orignal memory stick lioneditor savehook.

This is a brand new memory stick and I have not done anything to it besides save the game to it.

Did you boot the PSP in recovery mode and activate the plug-in?

To go into recovery mode, turn on your PSP and hold down the R trigger. It might take a few tries, but when you get it, tell me.

Zomg... I JUST HELPED SOMEONE!!! Ahh I'm so excited now!!

*extremely excitable*

I don't recall doing that the first time... I may need to add in stuff onto my tutorial.

Issue solved, but yes, R trigger on PSP boot -> SE Plugins -> FFSave hook enabled. Done.

Do you have CFW? If not you can't activate Recovery mode.

Custom Firmware, which you need to hack your PSP to do.

I think i may be having the same problem.
I followed the tutorial on the homepage to the letter but everytime i try to open my save file in lioneditor it says us file could not be found.
I tried holding the r trigger but I am not sure when i am supposed to do it and not sure i am doing it right since when i save the file it still doesnt work

I have a normal psp old school nothings new about it
