....Well originally I was gonna pretend to bitch you out, but I decided against it. You are one of the coolest people I have met online or irl.
The people of this site are close to my heart as we are like a dysfunctional family.
Also too Voldemort, Zozma, Philsov, BastardPoetry, BloodyBlade, gojoe, SentinalBlade, LastingDawn, Vanya, Cheetah, Curu, and even Zodiac we may have our rifts, but I respect you guys more than you could ever know and I will go as far to say I love you as close as siblings, and that you are as close to me as my irl friends even though we will probably never meet.
For the ones who haven't been mentioned that doesn't mean I don't feel the same way and you are all my friends.

Well said, darthpaul. I couldn't agree more, and I too possess much love and respect and admiration for all of you. This is one of the greatest communities, full of some of the brightest, most creative and supportive people I've ever met, and your comparison between the community and a family is justly applied.
In fact, if I had to guess, I'd say the reason you almost pretended to chew Sentinal out has something to do with Zalge's suspension. It is hard to see something like that happen, even if the reason for it is sensible. Zalge quickly became, at least in my perspective, like the little brother of the family. He's this awkward, bumbling, annoying little fuck whose struggles to survive puberty grated on our nerves, but we--in using the word "we" I speak for myself on the assumption that at least one other person here agrees--couldn't help but love the little guy. Mainly because a lot of us can relate to him. We've all been 14 at some point, we've all dealt with the frustrations and desperations of puberty, and there isn't a single person amongst the many I've crossed paths with whom actually enjoyed his or her time in middle school. He regularly asked us for advice--especially on girls, and especially in the vulnerable, public arena of chat--and a lot of us, despite the initial ridicule and mockery, eventual saw his sincerity and offered whatever sagely wisdom we could cough up. Those that didn't, on the other hand, maintained a sort of "tough love" attitude, emphasizing that he needed to face reality and grow up. In fact, the one time I responded negatively to Zalge was in response to the immature way he dealt with some of that "tough love:" my friend Chaumel tried to explain to him that it was unhealthy to obsess over a girl he'd never meet, and Zalge's response was to create a whole topic devoted to chewing him out. He's a kid of extremes, as we witnessed with his "pervy" responses to the lighthearted attention MagiTek gave him. I see this as the main reason Sentinal stood up and called attention to Zalge's inappropriate actions; as the older brothers and sisters, we've formed a community based on creativity, respect and humorous badgering (spam). We are in fact, for the most part, older, with more experience in social settings and we have that sense of how to conduct ourselves in any given situation. Zalge seemed to lack that insight; he didn't realize when he was crossing a line, and Sentinal's actions were a way of saying, "Listen, lil bro, you need to grow up a bit before you can hang out here; we've been as patient as we could be, but enough is enough." Perhaps this suspension will help him realize that.
Anyways, tl;dr Zalge needed to be suspended, either as a sort of tough love or a "reality check" kick in the ass; what's done is done and hopefully he'll return with a better understanding of how to conduct himself here.

This is an outstanding community; we've all made good friends, and those few that come here to troll or act like disrespectful fuckbags are chased off by our strong principles--either they learn from it, they leave forever or they continue spewing prepubescent nonsense at deaf ears. Granted, I hold many fond memories of 4chan, but I broke myself of that addiction a long time ago, and I like to believe that FFH is a place of refined creativity to counteract 4chan's scattershot method of dispensing creativity like explosive diarrhea (again, I speak of the Spam board here; the old and new memes--those refined gems of comedy--are always welcome here; the racism, sexism, homophobia, gore, vore, loli and pr0ns are NOT.. at least as far as I'm concerned).

Very well put BP and hopefully we will all be able to come together to celebrate the release of Mercenaries or something like that.
As previously stated this community feels more like a family than the one I grew up with.

4 years ago I had a project to hack Final Fantasy Tactics, to just hack it for fun. At that time I was at CoN (Caves of Narshe), a bunch of guys that thinks they're the "more intelligent FF gamers". Anyway the administrator blocked my FFT hacking topic because I was requesting for help on game hacking or some crap like that. By the way there had been a ongoing FFVI hacking topic for months.
After a few months roaming in CoN and helping FFT newbs, criticizing art, and other stuff as well, I noticed the mods were just plain jerks, and while quitting, I noticed most members were as well. I got a few thanks for the help I provided at least.
The admin was happy that I was leaving because he didn't like the fact that I wasn't shocked that my friend exploited failures of his forum and spammed a few posts of junk. Dude, seriously would have getting mad been any better?
I already started to roam on GameFaqs before quitting CoN and I found a document highly interesting, namely the GS handbook.
This is when I began the real hax0ring. At first I worked a lot on my excel workbooks, and because of this I have developed MAD excel skills. Then I thought, what the heck I'll make it public. Philsov gave it a try and a lot of people were interested in his 1.1 & 1.2 patches and that's when Karsten poped up on GF to offer a host.
So I built a suckass html site... it wasn't very lively, so I needed another host for a forum, that's when I made a byethost account (they suck btw). I started working on the new PHP site with that host. I always yelled how sucky byethost was and Dakitty came to save the day offering a fantopolis subdomain.
We only lasted a few months on fantopolis it was great and pretty fast too. After that I made our members vote for our community's name and "Final Fantasy Hacktics" came out pretty popular.
For a whole month during the summer I searched and searched again for a host suitable for FFH. I finally found it and that host was iipanel. No one expected it (I seriously don't know why) but I bought the domain www.ffhacktics.com (http://www.ffhacktics.com).
Today you can enjoy fast & and awesome FFH browsing. We are always growing bigger and bigger, and we will soon rule Earth! Giahahahahahaha!
I still need some way for people to donate to FFH to cover hosting costs. ;o

and thank god for FFH. im really not a big gamer but i absolutely love certain ones like breath of fire 3 and fft and things like that. they really dont make em like they used to.
I used to do sprites for ff4 and ff6 but i had always wanted to do FFT because i had access to the files and i really enjoy the battle system.

I'd like to stick Aeris and Cloud into my WotL, then put in a side story including the two of them. XP Sappy, I know, but if I can't have Aeris back in FFVII, then I try to look for any other excuse to put the two of them together. They've always been my fav tragic couple.

Yeah, but there's not enough interaction between the two. And most of the kingdom hearts games I like, but I wish Sora didn't have to interact with ALL the Disney characters. Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie are enough, but I don't like playing second fiddle to Winnie the Pooh.
