Title: PSP OnionKnight
Post by: Sen on March 18, 2008, 05:32:15 am
I havn't played the PSP version yet but I think OnionKnight isn't so practical to use because of their lack of skills so I think of giving them innate ReEquip/EquipChange.

Nah, level down from 50 to 1 with bard and level up from 1 to 50 with lvl8 Onion knight probably multiplies all your stats by 1.4. 150 growth to all is fucking ridiculous.

maybe with please eat?

Oh? ah wait 150 are multipliers... growth goes around 8 or so. D'oh

Still 150 multipliers makes it a broken mage, warrior, ninja all in one... at lvl8.

So, they make a remake of FFT only to put in a class like that?

>_>

Worst class ever. No skills, nothing interesting about them, just some big stats. Get real. I can't believe this is one of the "new classes" they chose. What lazy assholes.

innate ReEquip will make them equipment master

that gets so boring tho just physical attacks no support skills or ANYTHING, it would be alot less boring if they at the very least could gain levels....

:O No wai, you'd less pwn cuz the monsters would get stronger too.

Even if you can equip a fucking 50WP sword >_>
Not to mention the rest of their set.

remember that you have to win their equips.....

by the way on sunday's i won the 10 battle coop with my bro! we used no specials and no brave/faith mods, only one chantage per each and only ONE dark knight.

a dreaded fight!

anyway great satisfaction to win and awarded 4 stars  8)

i see :D

anyway, they are broken, but not so useful actually.... not being able to use abilities make them really weak. i mean, re-raising, but weak. no way to win against blade grasp/hamedo etc.

Well don't forget also that onion knights only become good when they are lvl 8. Prior to that they have crappy stats and can't use any of their special equipment, which needs to be won in some difficult multiplayer battles (as well as all the rest of the new items).

The only way to make them lvl 8 is to master 16 other jobs (every 2 jobs = +1 lvl). Pretty sure squire, dark knight, chemist and mime are the jobs that don't count.

Regardless though its a huge pain to get them to the state of huge stats. Add that onto the fact that they only gain lvls though the rarest monster's monster skill ability.

The job may have been lazily made and kinda broken but the work required to use them to their full potential balances it out.

Besides you can easily just break their equipment and they end up as worthless as they started out.

So basically they're like Mime & Ultima; not worth all the trouble.

Meh, forget what I said then, except for the other new broken items.

But I think spell guns are good.

Nope, one can dodge a dictionary attack.

Yeah it's not like irl.

This morning my mom talked about the weather by saying temperature. I started to annoy her with the fact that temperature =/= weather. Then she told me to look in the dictionary.

After finding the word I showed her.

She couldn't dodge it at all...

pwned!

Onion Knight sucks, they should have made a Holy Knight or something... yeesh. Or even a Hunter class like what Luso is.
