Title: Problem Solved
Post by: Armony on December 28, 2008, 03:01:45 am
I've been working on making a hack and I've run into a problem that I need help with.

1. I'm attempting to make a female main character. I've changed the sprite out for a female sprite, but I can't figure out how to get Ramza to act as a female in terms of being charmed and equipping perfume, etc. Is there any way to do this? If so, can someone tell me how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Problem solved. Answer exists in Razele's ASM hacks post over in Hacking/Patching Tools now

ENTD Tab.

Find all the Ramzas and uncheck male, then check female. Don't know if he might be hard coded to male at the start. You won't know 'til you try.

You might want to make Alma into an effeminate male.

I tried editing in ENTD first but when I came to Magic City Gariland everything was still the same in the screen to choose my formation. Changing things in ENTD only affects the very few battles where Ramza is in the list and the events. I managed to get the sprite to stick using Shishi's Sprite Editor, so now I have a rather masculine lesbian... or a transvestite, whichever you prefer to call "it".

Kinda disturbing but maybe you should start into the more intricate hacking to find a fix for the problem.

I know very little about that, but I do know that Ramza should have a flag for his gender just like everyone else in the game. If I could find where it is and how to change it, I'd be golden. Also, if someone could tell me how I could go about finding it, I could probably find it myself, but I've never done anything like that before.

Everyone starts somewhere and practice makes perfect. Like I said put tht e hacking on hold and learn to hack without the software. It's harder but in the long run you can do more.

Thanks Vanya. I'll read through these and see if I can understand how to do this any better than not at all.
