Title: So I can change what spells do but...
Post by: Foobs on December 06, 2008, 08:26:18 pm
Can I change the description text of the spell in the ability menu?

For example:

I changed Ramza's spell Cheer Up to cast a AOE Chakra to all allies in the target field.

But the description of the spell still reads like the old spell reads. I want to be able to read a custom description of the spell.

Not something I can live with out, but is it possible??

Yes just find the file you want to change in the text editor but beware until the update you have to be careful with your edits as far as number of characters and spaces.

K, so I can make an ISo an burn an img copy to my hard drive an export files, though I don't think I can import said files but one problem at a time.

Trouble is I see nothing in the FFTpatcher that will edit spells text. Any help, or at the least the start of the process would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, if you're using the newest one, it didn't come with FFTactext, but I'd hold tight for a while, Melonhead in the near future (two or three weeks) will be releasing a far superior text editor, but... if you'd like to use the normal one, download an older version of FFTPatcher.
