I don't think any J-pop has ever truly achieved great things with electric guitars.

I listen to J-Rock but not that much j-pop unless it's kingdom hearts based

Meh.  J-Rock = J-Pop.  Don't get me wrong, I like some anime, but J-Pop isn't really my cup of tea.  Although the stuff from Bebop is pretty good.  And some OST music as well, but I wouldn't call that J-Pop.

I beg to differ they are very very different. Just like our rock and pop is very different.

Haha, I consider our rock and pop to be mostly the same... but that's another story.  I see what you're saying, but they are both "pop" in the same sense that most of the stuff on American radio can be called "pop."  I mean, it's all "popular music," so yeah.

I like this one so far; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22DT0K3E ... re=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22DT0K3EkFo&feature=related)

I once heard that we like certain music because it relates to (a) time(s) in our life.

I don't mind them either (ok, I despise nickelback, but that's another topic), but usually anyone who can honestly say "their radio single was so creatively inspired and spoke directly to me and only to me that I now worship every blade of grass they've stepped on" deserves to be shot.

The internet has made me hard and cynical
