Title: New to FFT Patcher. Made changes to a patched iso. Got garbage text.
Post by: BlazeMura on July 18, 2025, 08:11:50 am
Hi.  Like many here, I fell in love with Tzepish's War of the Lion's Tweaks but I wanted to make a few adjustments here and there.  Opened the patcher, made a number of small adjustments to some abilities and job classes and a few items as well.  When I was finished I patched it all into a copy of the patched ISO.

When I tried to play the game, the menu was almost completely missing barring some glitched text.  I managed to get into the party screen anyway all the items also had text glitched up.

Clearly I did something wrong.  I'm a noob at this.  Could anyone help me with this?

Did you work it out? Honestly I'd probably recommend just starting over and making one change at a time and then testing the patched ISO.

I don't think you can make changes to it like that, thanks to the way it is/was? built with the Valhalla editor?

So I was able to get it working.  Sorta.  I wasn't able to use Valhalla but I could make changes to classes, weapons etc.  With FFT Patcher alone.

Basically I made my changes and when it was time to patch the ISO, a pop up appears and I needed to UNCHECK Decrypt EBOOT.bin and that worked.
