Title: In Battle Text
Post by: Lydyn on November 01, 2008, 03:15:26 pm
Anywhere know where this is located? As in, you can edit WORLD.BIN to display Paladin instead of Holy Knight, but you go into battle formation or in battle and it changes back to Holy Knight. I changed this once, it seems ... but I can't find it again. :( It's not even in BATTLE.BIN because I searched in mine with Windhex and found that everything was corrected.

This is preventing me from correcting some names and editing the ability names all together.

Already edited WORLD.BIN - no change in battle, only in the world formation screen.

Then keep searching through text files, I found like a hundred mentions of Oracle, it's skillset, and stuff related to it... :(

after editing world.bin did your shop text get messed up?

anyway, you have to edit Attack.out, small.out, sample? something

It's not ATTACK.OUT or SMALL.OUT ... especially since it doesn't govern any sort of abilities names. At least, it's not working for me.

And yes, shop text and job wheel description are still messed up - but that's it. Not very important.

I know! I looked in BATTLE.BIN ... there's no "Ninja" to be found (except in item names) and yet I go into battle and my dancer is named "Ninja." =/ In fact, it HAS Shikaku in the file. I don't understand.

SentialBlade helped me... I just used the "Patch ISO..." option and it worked.
