good question, I'd like to have a few select skills that could be used under transparent status myself.

i have a question about transparent myself... ive never seen an enemy use it. but if they were to do so would they be partially visible like thay are on your team? and if they are then whats the use of it on the enemy side?

yeah they shuld've made them turn completely invisible OR make it 0% to be hit by attacks.

It wouldn't really matter since the AI's too stupid to make use of it for more than one turn. :p

imagine running into a band of ninja or monks who werent too stupid to use it... but i think at this time that skill has more drawback than use...

If all the ninjas in the Deep Dungeon become transparent You can't see any of them and its dark  :)

The only thing you can't see in the DD are the fucking exposives (black bombs).

Or a unit that jumped. :o

ahh i thought of something, only for looks really but what if you made the ghost characters have perma transparent? i know your own units can see them but it would look more ghostlike... on the other hand would that make the units stupid when it comes to protecting eachother?... ah well

Although you can see a transparent enemy I don't believe the AI can.  I had 2 berserk characters swinging at air trying to hit an transparent archer.

i guess as long as you don't make an auto battle out of it transparent would make a cool effect when fighting ghosts... i mean they can see their own troops i hope..

Har, I noticed the Red Mage sprite. It looks amazing; I'm looking forward to the VK patch.

Doesn't the 'Stealth' ability allow the transparent unit to move and attack normally?

yeah they act normal but normally once a unit under transparent status takes any action the status is negated. however the ghosts i made them have perma-transparent... i just wish that they looked transparent at the very start,  just like how their floating status is always there. but they turn transparent AFTER the brown screen that displays the winning condition fades away instead :/.

couldn't you adjust the sprite to look like it's transparent?

something should be done for the enemy's transparency so it isnt one sided, i would rather have them be unseen just as the ally's would...

That something would require some major ASM work to totally hide the enemy's turn from the player as well.

This should be moved to a more appropriate section.

Uh, I recall FFTactics Advance had enemies that would go transparent. I don't remember what the skill was called... but when you used it, you could still see where your unit was, because lets face it, you HAVE to see your unit to use it. When the enemy used it, they went full invisible and you couldn't see them; in fact, when they moved, the screen and cursor wouldn't move either.

Yeah, The GBA didn't really do too good with actual translucency, so they opted for full transparency.
The way they did in A1 is perfect, but we also have to see if the FFT AI is even able to take advantage of the status.

Yeah, that would require someone with a thorough knowledge of AI to fix up. Has anyone thought of just making a new game?
