Title: Requirements for Hacking.
Post by: xanderfoxjsc on October 26, 2008, 02:57:39 pm
What exactly all do you need to hack FFT and play a hacked FFT?  You can't possibly patch the disk can you?  Do you need a emulator, what?  Tell me what does my PC need to use the hacks for my PSX FFT???

whoah hold on, first off you need a pc emu or hacked playstation console(psx ps2 or psp) to play your hacked iso. now to answeryour other questions just read the forums, and i do mean read them, use the search button too if you want. all your questions have answers already in fact theres an explanation in the stickied threads in this very section giving you most (if not all) the information you need. if you do have more questions post them in the thread they pertain to (if it exists). oh by the way WELCOME@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't never find a emulator that works right.  i don't expect I'll ever see these hacks on anything but video files.

PSXeven works well for me, and you need an ISO or image file. You can get this from ripping this from the CD of FFT or download it. For legal reasons, I'm not going to tell you where to download an ISO ... it's easy enough to search for it.

I'll try it but I think odds are PSXeven won't work right on my PC or will suffer so much lag that any game ins unplayable.  How do i rip the ISO from my FFT Disk?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I think there's some programs floating around that do that.

I was playing FFT on an emulator (epsxe, which I don't recommend because its really cumbersome) in like... 2003.  I think I had 256 RAM, no video card, and... 1 gig processor?  I think pretty much any computer that actually works nowadays can support an emulator fine.

any computer nowadays is better than that at least lol

well ubuntu is kinda friendly after you play around with it just a bit, plus if you want any kind of application just go to add/remove and you can look for all apps without crawling through the net
