the rider when s/he dies? Does s/he fall off to one side? What if you're completely surrounded? Does s/he just stay on top of the Chocobo?
I always wondered this too
worth a test isn't it
might make the game explode
If what happens to Agrias in one of my recent Rendezvous matches is any indication, they fall off the chocobo. Not sure how the game determines which side the unit falls on, but they do fall off the chocobo.
Damn poachers...
*My 100th Post!!!! Huzzah!!!!*
I think he means if all 4 sides are blocked off by other units*
That, I don't know. It can always be tested though.
From my experience they just go to a random side, though I had an odd experience in my 2 Unit + Chocobo run... In which at Doguola Pass, I was surrounded by a Lancer, and of course three drops that were higher then the units current jump, well, he was on the Chocobo, and was hit by a Bolt 2, which killed him and hurt the Lancer in front of him, but he fell at least 6-7 height, it was pretty interesting, actually.
Wow, sounds fun, I gotta try this too... but where to fall from?
surround the chocobo rider's adjacent panels with as many units as possible (make sure you cover the 4 panels directly next to him)
and then kill him
I wanna see where he's gonna land
but wouldnt that mean you would need a friendly chocobo cause you can only use a max of 5 people or stand them near a rock you cant stand on and see if they land on it

or just sleep some enemies to occupy some of the panels
dont be a noob dude any unit will work
Friendly chocobo + rider (2) + 3 units surrounding it +1 slept enemy on 4th panel
done
and what if the character falls on a diagonal panel?
or maybe the unit will be standing on the chocobo until a unit moves and then the fallen unit falls on the groud
@Arch sry 8 in the morning so i wasnt thinking about enemies and now its obvious but at the time stupidity reigned in my head
i was wondering the same thing at one time... heck, it's worth a try if it's at least half as funny as knock-backing that oracle off the church roof in the final fight against Zalmo
it would be awesome to look a falling oracle of doom

Or you can just use a wall.
Okay, so I did an experiment yesterday.

As you can see, all that happens is that the person falls two spaces.
yes but, what about blocking those two diagonal spots?
Probably just fall 3 spaces and so on.
i suppose its near impossible to create that situation?
Unless you gain the power to edit maps.
it would be pretty sweet if in places like the "lost sacred prescincts" you could push characters into that deep cliff in the middle. theyd have to be completely obliterated tho not even leaving a crystal behind.
IIRC from my testings, the person is able to actually fall off OVER actual height
so then what will happen to them? theres no terrain below that cliff...
