the best way to learn (most any program IMO) is to mess around  (ALOT) with everything you want to use

and then ask specific questions about what you can't figure out

alot of your questions are answered in stickys and other existing threads

The only thing i do not remember being answered(a few by myself) in the forums so far, right off the top of my head, is the text editing....

FFTactext now includes a patch iso command, so all you have to do is make your changes, and itl do the rest

SIZE IS IMPORTANT

You can edit world bin, ive done it with all the places being correctly ordered, it just took some testing nad planning. One thing you HAVE to do with world.bin is stay the SAME SIZE. Attack.out and sample.lzw you can shange the size of till your hearts content, as far as im aware

hmmm so smaller isnt an option either? same exact numbers...

i guess that means if one job name is too short go to a blank spot and fill it up with whatever is leftover?

WORLD.BIN might need an exact size ... as well as BATTLE.BIN, but otherwise as long as you are only maybe 5-10 bytes at max over the original size or lower, it should be fine. Takes a little trail and error too.

To get world.bin working ight, just take away space from un needed spells, like the bio(s) or add them to the charge skill names(i dont use them anyways in my patch), make sure its the same size as it was origonally, and dont take bytes from...jobs, to make up for what you took in abilities. every section needs to retain its own number of bytes.

I have actually gone 100 bytes over battle.bins max size, and have had no trouble whatsoever

SentinalBlade ... you've just saved me loads of time! I'm trusting you on this and I'm going to see if it works. Thanks a ton!
