Title: New weapons, dagger, axes/flail, swords

Okay, since I saw almost no weapons at all for the weapons, I decided to tyr to make 'energy' weapons that seem kinda futuristic, but in truth, they're taken from the wep.spr and I'm seeing what I can do with them.

So far I did all the sword types, axes, flails and daggers.

any suggestions for improvement will be appreciated.

(each weapon is differently coloured)

and right now i'm trying to just mess around to find what is good for what since if i just recolour the normal weapons, it doesn't look very energy weapon-esc, but i'm looking through the styles to try to make my own ^^;

(the axe/flail is not in the hand since to make the large part of it in the allowed space, i need to make the 'handle' not in the hand)

A very interesting test... this is actually the first of anyone editing these and having any measure of success, I believe.

Did the staff/spear (although I wanna try a different one for the halberd spear one)

and I'm testing a change for the shield right now.

edit: Hm, okay, the shield seems to be working, although I do want to try to work on different versions of it for different angles. (right now they're all the same)

Is that a magical shield that Orlandu has? A pretty interesting symbol. (if I'm looking at it right)

the 'symbol' is this. (i considered using the 'punch' reaction, but this came off as more 'shield' than the other one, and i planned to use the 'back' end of it as the file 2/3 to the left of that original file's place in the wep.spr.

and yes, it's supposed to be a magicial shield, well, a magicial/energy shidle anyway to kinda go with the 'style' of this test mod.

I suppose it wasn't so bad, as long as i don't get in the habit of double posting, right? lol  (the 2 pixels were fixed by the way)

this is supposed to be a sort of mini knife/sword thing, although it ended up, kinda, sucky. ^^;

also included is what the bmp of the spr looks like so they can see how basic my changes were. (also for suggestions for what to do with the staves/priest sticks)

i've been editing that stuff myself; i turned the regular pistols into a sniper rifle (and a damned good one at that). so the gun is longer, and it actually looks like a rifle; everything fit inside the frames as the should too...

Look at some of the Mercs threads, they did some of this with much better weapons.

Yeah, and try talking to Vanya and/or Smash. Both of them were working on weapons, from what I recall.

I was. I got some great data from Cheetah about the weapon animations so I did some research.
The next thing I'd like to do is figure out how to change where the weapon graphics have their coordinates set so I can take advantage of the unused areas and maybe make a general reorganization patch just for the weapon graphics.

Yeah, I feel like editing weapon animations should be totally doable and I think there is a lot of unused.
