I finished this game recently and planned a second playthrough.

The "problem" is ... This game so easy at the end, the enemies didnt scale so well...

I wonder if there is any way to limit the level cap to 40~50.

As far as I know, no, but download this tool and use it on your rom:

You can make it where the enemies scale with your level. If you're level 10, they'll be 10. If you're 50, they'll be 50.

It's in the misc hacks section.

You want to lower the level cap? That's very easy. But I do suggest you use the scaling hack instead.
