Title: Couple of Questions
Post by: Velos on September 28, 2008, 11:25:30 pm
1. In the ability tab of the patcher is says: Inflict Status.
Is it: the higher the number, the higher the change of inflicting the status?
Or should it be a low number to actually inflict the status

2. Same question for lowering/raising CT

1. thats the ID# of the status you want the spell to inflict, you can't manually change the % chance of it landing, that is controled by the formulas instead

2.

0 CT on a status means it never wears

high CT means it wears off slowly

low CT means it wears off quickly

So it there any way to change the accuracy of status inflicting spells or no?

Thnx 'bout the CT

Edit: OR is there a way to make sure the spell hits for 100% all the time?

no there is no way to change the accuracy of spells that have a chance to inflict statuses

well, no way besides playing with formulas

some formulas are 100% status

others are 25%

and some are 6.25% (I think that was Dark Whisper's? IDR)

the formulas say the % in fftpatcher

but no, you can't manually set it to whatever % you want

np

look for a formula that says 100% Hit

or just use whatever formula Seal is using

100% status

Actually there are several formulas that have a variable hit%. 2A allows you to set the % chance + MA that a spell will hit. As long as it has an inflicted status set, that is.

These questions should really be in the Hacking Patching Tools section. We need to start enforcing that some or things could get out of hand pretty quickly.
