My dream has always been to make a Final Fantasy Tactics based movie, using the game's sprites and tilesets.

But I've never found a program that was completely appropriate to use, nor one that fully supported the type of animations I would like to pull off (not without some code fudging).

"Woe!" I thought. "If only there were some kind of program like Final Fantasy Tactics that I could use to perform the rendering and animating! Too bad that no such file exists that uses that engine..."

And then it hit me - there IS something that uses the Final Fantasy Tactics engine!

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS!

So after some moving around on the internet, I stumbled across this community.
Things here look promising, and if I get into the projects here and help out, maybe I can learn enough to finally be able to start work on my own.

The only thing that would bug me is that I would not want the information overlays in my video, and IDEALLY I would like to have multiple things happening on-screen at once.

So, I'm really looking at using the engine for making CUTSCENES, and calling it a movie.

you could probably splice scenes together to get more things happening at one time i think it would be fun to see and funner to do but you came to the right place just look for the "chronicles of kanbabrif" cause that was awesome

Yeah. The original site seems to have been closed due to financial reasons, but there looks to be videos of it on YouTube?

I will watch them, definitely.

I would definitely watch more custom storyline scenes in FFT engine

This is good to hear, that this idea generates interest.
I'm actually going out of town for a day or two, but upon returning I shall get right to work on examining the community's hacks, guides to hacks, and then work on experimenting with them myself.

The website isn't down. Perhaps you saw a post somewhere that linked to an old website?

Anyways, just click the link in my siggy. That's the current one, with videos of significantly better quality than the youtube versions.

Also, good luck with your project. If you need any help, feel free to ask. I may not always be able to answer quickly, but I'll do what I can!
