So yeah, I tried playing Journey of Five with my epsxe 1.9.0 but it freezes at the squaresoft logo. The sound is enabled and the clean FFT file works fine.

for my video plug in see the attachment. it would be nice if you guys could help me. i really want to play JoF. Thanks in advance :)

It has something to do with the sound card oddly. Do you have the sound set to disable?

nope. it's enabled, which is why i'm puzzled :/

hmm.. well that's odd. Try the PSX brand emulator, Elric and Toshiko recommend it.
Or try copying these settings:

tried it and hooray! it's working now. thanks Lijj :) something must have been wrong or missing with my epsxe
