why do some work and others dont!??

okay so i downloaded some sprites from ffhacktics and not even half of sprites worked i know how to put them in the game with shishi program but when i start the game not all the sprites that i patched showed up during battle for example
i replaced my  squire (male) with warrior spiky hair sprite but when i get into battle they still have there default sprite?! canbody help me??

Which squire (male) did you fix?  You need to fix the one above the female squire or generic squires won't be changed into Tidus (I think that's the sprite you're referring to).
