Soooooo this is the fence sprite I made for a prison in COP.

I need comments. The sprite works well, but it is a ZODIAC (zalera) sprite, so it needs a special event to be retired (Does not die normally, so use it like a boss, or something.)

I need comments and ways to improve.

Interesting...You need to add shading to all the sides, nooks, crannies, and corners on the fence: right now just having a dropped shadow underneath the bulbs at the top doesn't look right. I mean, the shape of it looks fine, but it needs a lot more depth.

Exactly it looks too light and unshaped to fit the FFT style just yet. Has potential but needs a major shading fix.
Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others. Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps...it is time to die

Yeah, what they said. Interesting idea ^^
Also, can the bottom shadow be altered? Because now, it looks a bit weird due to its shape.

Aye, this is actually quite important. The way the fence would drop its shadow should be unlike how people and humanoids do.

Here is my attempt to make it look better... I can barely see a difference, but here ya go.

I tried adding another color, but I don't ended up using it in 3 places >.> cause it looked crappy in any other spot.

Here you go, hopefully it works to perfection. ^_^ Let me know if there's anything more I can help with.

I'm fairly proud of the shading on it; I'll start on making them more continuous looking soon and should have it up pretty quick.

wow that is a unique way of making options and opening other forms of tactics. . . would be fun on a protect " name_here " mission and you have to barge through the gates to save someone. . .

yeah genius move there Kokojo would be really awesome for missions and I think you did this for your project huh and too make players suffer escaping your prison?. . .

but just thought of the gate at level 25 in the sample above. . . at 9 HP a gate can be shattered by a throw stone, enemies would just walk past through it, The gate would scream "ah" when it dies or gets busted and all that would look funny. . .

EDIT: Nevermind, that point was already addressed.

I suppose ASM could fix that... maybe. And I'm gonna guess the HP values are an example because even a Rod could break that 9HP gate.

no, I mean what I said. Perhaps if I said it in Japanese it'd become magically better for you. - philsov

Well the idea to use the Barrier is a bit more complex, but it fits in the prison scheme.

If not, the HP has been fixed for now... And if that does not balance well, Il use the Wall status.

In COP, 9 damage is a lot :-)

Edit : Mmmm... I play with the sound off... but il say yeah, there is a way to make them have no sound. They will just no be females/male/monster. Then I THINK they won't scream.
