Like a spark plug igniting a cylinder of fuel, the Love Arrow triggered an explosion of Love within Ryqoshay's heart. From there, the energy flowed out into her body, through the arrow and back into her heart to be sparked yet again. "Love Power: Power On!" the girl sang merrily. Unbound by the normal laws of physics, each burst increased the power and made the loop cycle faster. "Smiling! Happiness, welcome! Smiling!" The energy fed on itself and grew ever stronger.

Although, it was not just happy love that flourished within its new container. Like petals in a flower, all possible variations of love blossomed forth. From motherly care, to fatherly pride; from first grade puppy love to teenage drama; and every shade of red, pink and crimson in between. The surge of positive emotions was exhilarating; a wonderful rush that left her giddy and lightheaded.

"Woo!" she breathed as the recursion began to stabilize and her heart rate returned to normal. "I could do that again..." As she regained her senses, she realized that she had already begun to release some of the excess Love within her. Enough energy, in fact, to alleviate the plague of apathy. "Cheers for the Love!" she pumped a fist into the air triumphantly.

"Special delivery incoming!" the smooth voice of Captain Dynamite reached her ears. She turned as the wild-haired man slowed to a hover beside her. "For you, ma'am." he said, reaching out to hand her a four leaf clover.

"Tha..." Ryqo started, but cut off as she realized, upon closer inspection, that what she had assumed to be four leaves was actually an intricate network of forty, in delicate sets of ten. "This is awesome!" She cried excitedly and immediately inserted it into the ribbon of one of her twin-tails.

she told the captain giving a thumbs up.

"Aye, ma'am." He replied before speeding off again.

And now on to today's episode:

"Now what am I forgetting..." Ryqo murmurs to herself. Her eyes settle upon a dark figure, the man who had recently been responsible for destroying this world's Love. "Ah, yes..." She takes a deep breath and prepares herself. Stretching out a hand with a pointed index finger towards him, she raises her voice and calls out to him. "Thou who hath sought to deprive this world of Love, mark my words! Thou who hath knowingly and willfully wrought pain and suffering upon countless souls, heed my warning! Thy deeds have not gone unaccounted, of this I swear. I shall pray thou art prepared. Forsooth, the punishment must fit thy crime, thus, filled with Love shall thy heart ever be, 'till it overflows with joy and frees thou from thy chains of hatred."

Wrong.

The words were wrong. Ryqoshay had no idea what was leaving her own mouth, but it was nowhere near what her mind had conjured, in fact, it was quite the opposite. She had intended to reverse the wave of apathy washing across the world, but instead whatever she had done only made it stronger.

This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. But it was because this world was tainted, right? She was here to make things better, right? Certainly it wasn't because of her... ... ... right?

Right?

Something impacted the ground with a sickeningly wet sound and brought Ryqo back to the hellish reality before her. The girl glanced around and gasped when her eyes found the broken body of a care bear that had fallen from the clouds above. However, like the first drop of a storm, more followed. Dozens more. Hard rain doesn't last, but soon the area was littered with disturbingly cute corpses as the miasma of despair continued its reign.

Through tear misted eyes, she watched the man with the pear draw back his leg before delivering a devastating kick to the fragile container of Love. The air left her lungs rapidly as though she herself had received the blow and the girl collapsed to her knees, clutching her chest in agony.

Gone.

It was all gone. All of this world's Love had been gathered into a tiny container and subsequently destroyed. And with it, hope was all but lost, happiness waned and laughter subsided. It was over. Done. This was the end.

"Heh..." One corner of Ryqo's mouth twitched upwards momentarily. "Hehee..." She blinked, drew a sharp breath and let it out slowly. Slowly, she returned to her feet. "Captain!" She called, seeking her friend. She found him taking a soda break, which didn't surprise her much. It was quite obviously hot wherever he had been before she had summoned him, so he must have been parched. "Please! This world needs you!

"Aye, ma'am!" The captain said with a salute.

"Thank you." she replied. Turning away, she gritted her teeth and gathered her strength. There was still one more thing she could try.
              on to today's episode:

Ryqo produces a Love Arrow and holds it in her hand for a moment. Running her finger across its head, she winces a bit as it bites into her, but she keeps studying it. This would have to work or... She shakes her head. She does not want to think about what will happen if this plan fails. This world's natural Love may be gone, but that didn't mean it could not be replaced. The good Captain's work would help, but to gain root, the new Love would first need a new container. She intends to become that container.

Gripping the arrow in both hands with its tip facing her, she draws a ragged breath before driving it into her heart.

Where the imaginary ball Ryqoshay threw would have landed, a giant portal sprang into existence. As summoned, Captain Dynamite raced through the rift, looking as awesome as ever.

"Wo..." Ryqo began to cheer before she she realized what was trailed behind her friend.

Fire spewed forth followed by tendrils of darkness, hideous metallic nightmares and unspeakable horrors. Just where in the multiverse had the good Captain been? Phyrexia? In any case, the portal needed to be closed immediately. Without hesitation, Ryqo charged. "Slammin' Jammin' Love Ryqo Portcullis Plug!" she called, shoving her hands forward to send a burst of Love Power to seal the rift. Her ability succeeded, however, as the portal collapsed upon itself, it released a final blast of negative energy. The girl arched her spine and flung herself backwards in a flip and narrowly avoided the explosion. Sticking the landing like an Olympic pro, she cannot help but pose and smile to whoever may be watching.

"Impressive." Dynamite intoned in his smooth voice.

"Hee..." Ryqo grinned happily.

"So, what would you have me do?"

"Silly Dyna!" she couldn't help but laugh. "Do what you do best! Go!" She pointed dramatically in no particular direction.

The wild-haired man nods solemnly. "Very well." He turned and boarded his magic space buggy to prepared to carry out his orders.

"This world needs..." Ryqo cut off as her hand flew to her chest where a sudden, stabbing pain had erupted. What just happened?

Something had changed. Something was wrong with the world.

Very wrong.

Evil laughter emanating nearby caught her attention and she turned towards its source. A strange man loomed over a sizable pear lying on the ground. The fruit had been run through with a paperclip and its precious juices flowed freely in abnormally large quantities. A ghastly stain spread in eery and unnatural paths as though guided by some unseen force, but unquestionably tainted whatever it touched.

It took a moment for Ryqo to comprehend the scene before her, but as the pieces fell into place in her mind, her face paled. The man had confined this world's Love in a piece of produce. Unlike the singularity that merely drew in ambient Love, this man had managed to take everything. As if that was not bad enough, he had then proceeded to deal significant damage to the container, threatening to destroy its contents utterly. Why would anyone do such a thing?

The world wide effects were already becoming obvious. From the growing blemish, a miasma of apathy emerged and enveloped everything in site. The cloud of indifference hit Ryqo like a blast of exhaust from an ill-maintained car and it took a significant amount of willpower for her to avoid choking and coughing.

Biting back the bile rising in her throat, the young idol began to think of ways to reverse the lethargic pollution.

And now on to today's episode:

Producing a pair of pink pom-poms, Ryqoshay shakes them furiously as she builds up a yell. "Go Go Go Get 'em Everyone! Don't Be Lazy! Be Crazy! Don't Worry! Be Happy!" She punctuates her syllables with her pom-poms.
