Title: CD Mage compatibility
Post by: Xifanie on October 28, 2007, 03:33:00 pm
This topic was made because Some Images doesn't work at all with CD Mage Beta. If you want to be sure before making an image or just want to fix your problem, read below.

Post all your working Images types and which program you used to create it.

*Supported types means it is support by CD Mage

MagicISO (http://www.magiciso.com/download.htm)
Known supported types:
.BIN/.cue

Description:
Freeware, doesn't expire, no limitations as to creating images.

Alcohol 120% (http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/)
Known supported types:
ISO

Description:
ISO format seems only available in Full version.

You can add ISO.

Err, with MagicISO right?

Because if it's not the case I'd rather have the program name since IIRC some had ISO and couldn't get it to work. I wonder what's the point of coding an image type differently than other programs. >_>'

I used Alcohol 120% (yay for cracking >_>) to make the ISO and CDmage to import the files.

CloneCD works, you just have to load the .ccd file it produces instead of the .img file

It continues working past the expiration just like WinRAR does, but you can't burn TO a cd/dvd, only create images FROM the cd/dvd.

You couldn't before, but you just made me think that it would be very useful, so I updated the forum with the add-in...

I used the PHPBB files on my comp though, I thought they were updated as the forum was, but I was wrong so we lost the shoutbox. :S

Could you post that program again? Or can someone re-upload it?

CDMage doesn't work for me either because I'm on a mac.

Yay for another mac user! But yeah I was able to get CDMage to work on VirtualPC and Crossover. But very few of the other programs do.
