Help! / EVTCHR.bin File too large for iso?
January 19, 2016, 12:20:30 am
I did find a post from awhile ago saying that this was a normal thing, that EvtchrView increases file size, but my question is how do you get it back into the iso?

Thanks for all the help I've received while being apart of this place, I really appreciate it!

Help! / Ramza Event Sprites?
January 18, 2016, 01:07:13 pm
I was wondering where the sprite location for Ramza's event sprites were. I know where the battle/idle sprite sheet is, but for times where he turns his head in the cut scene or get picked up by Delita.

Alright I'll do that then. Thank you, but what do you mean by the different versions? I  just got my pc back up and redownloaded everything so do I just have a newer version of the pilers than her?

Help! / Event Compiler Issue.
June 11, 2015, 11:23:58 pm
Hey, My friend was able to send me some event's that she edited and I tried to compile them but I get

"Wrong parameter type. "x" expected but "r" found on line 13"

So I checked out line 13 of the event and it was different then the PSX event file so I copied over all of the stuff before the dialog (Cause she only changed dialog) and replaced it and it worked fine.

Normally I'd be problem solved but I have a huge list of events, will I have to do that for all of them? Cause they compiled fine for her so I'm wondering why are they different?

Then you may simply have an issue with your version of the FFTP Suite. I would suggest downloading either FFTP .478 or FFTP .482

That seemed to fix it! Thank you very much ^-^

Hmm, that is indeed odd. Have you patched your image with anything? I use .478 and haven't had an issue. I would suggest trying that and posting your results here. If that also doesn't work, I think we can rule out Shishi being the issue.

At that point, I'd likely suggest you re-rip the image with different software, however it may simply be an issue with your FFTP Suite.

I tried ripping it with a different program, copying my friends .bin on his computer, and even resorted to trying a downloaded version and all gave me the same error :/
Because the .bin I was trying to use in the first place only has some sprite changes and a new title screen. But obviously that's not the issue.

You need to post what version you are using.

Also, PSX or WotL?

Oh yeah, sorry>.< I'm using 1.0.0.457. And I'm using my PSX copy.

Help! / sceap shishi error?
June 11, 2015, 02:01:56 am
I'm getting this whenever I try to extract the sceap file. What am I doing wrong?

Trust me when I say I've been all around the forums looking for an answer before posting. I found a similar post about the game over screen. I just wanted to know what other program if not shishi do I use for editing this?

okay I edited the PSX Events file cause I edited all events that referred to ramza as him or son or brother, I can only see the first tutorial event with ovelia getting kidnapped in the normal event file. so how would I go about doing this?

I assumed it was wrote to the test.evt or to the attack.out but I didn't know cause once a box came up saying to compile and I clicked it and I believe this came up also, but the other time it just went straight to this. So should I be able to just import these to the .iso or? I was so tired when doing this I feel stupid now xD

Event Editing / Event Compiler Error
December 13, 2014, 05:05:51 am
First off I want to apologize to Xifanie, She knows why and I'm sorry.
For the question though was in regards to one of my other questions about changing ramza's gender, Well I decompiled the event stuff and changed the all the "his, him, brother, son, and man" all to the female equivalent that was referring to ramza. Anyway I think I got them all anyway, I was trying to re-compile the events and I get the error in the screen shot, I know that its referring to hex offsets but how do I do this? I apologize its the first time I used the compile/decompilers and looks around and couldn't find anything. Any help would be amazing!

Help! / Ramzas Gender
December 12, 2014, 03:19:47 am
Hi, I wanted to change Ramza's gender, I've played this game a 100 times and thought it might be interesting (of course will have to change the text from him and brother and all that which might take awhile but eh not gonna do it all at once just a little side project) anyway I know you can change it in the SCUS_942.21 file and the SCUS_942.21 at 0x4A8A4 and you're suppose to change it from 80 to 40, anyway I thought hex edit instantly, I haven't hex edited for a long time and thought I'd remember if I started doing it again but unfortunately not remembering much so do you change it via hex or something else, I use hex workshop...

December 10, 2014, 07:07:12 pm
didn't think there was, and trust me I know no one would, I wouldn't even if I could, just wanted to know if it was already in the game and just not used and they decided not to use it and then used it in psp version, but oh well, its not a big deal. Thanks c:
