i didnt see a basic questions topic so i thought i's make one to cut down on diffrent topics all asking diffrent basic question. helpful the will help oraginze the forums allittle. so if there are any basic questions just post here so the can be answered:)

i have to questions myself:
1, is it possible to make guns affected by dual weild?

2, how to fix portrait colors( when the portriats in game or in shishi it looks normal but when exported it looks sorta negative) i cand figure how to fix this my portrait dont show right?

I can help you relating to guns.
Go in FFTPatcher open the ISO.
Now go to items and search the guns.
Once you find em there is option *2 sword* flag it and now the gun can be dual weild.
But there is a bug about this.
If you equip the gun and a sword below. you can still attack 8 panels away using the gun and....the sword equiped at the left hand.

As for the portraits, you should know that portraits use a different palette than the sprite itself. That is most likely your problem.

thx  4 the help was wonderin cuse every 1 handed weapon could be dualweilded cept 4 guns and xbows, yep portraits use row nine for their colors. im talkn about how the portait's colors change when exported/imported using shishi.

Check the tutorials section on the main site, theres a very detailed tutorial on fixing portraits there that should help you.

Don't worry. I compiled most basic questions found in the Help section.
