Yeah...The clothing is a big issue here: with only two greens and two purples, I fill in some of the other shades with browns, and with so many browns things started to blend together. So I [over]used the black. And frankly, I don't see a quick fix. So I'm taking a break for bit.

If you look closely, I edited the hair color, and lightened the darkest green shade.
Also, I changed the color values fro the face, altered the front facing sprite, and cast face anim.

I also updated the portrait.

Ok, thanks mike, I will update it when I have time.

Sorry for my inactivity, I found myself a job (in age of 15 it's hard to find job) and now I'm really busy.

And here is a head swap I tried for Lezard some time ago, does it look better? I think it looks good, but it is not resembling him too much.

Yeah, don't resemble much of him though.

It's a pretty neat sprite, though you need to darken some of the buttons, where they're already overlapped by shadow. Is this the one you tried the feather hat on?

Heh, thanks guys.

No Mav, the one I tried to add feather hat was Female Arbalist ;)

And the other feathered hat? There's the fedora-looking one and the one that looks like a Thief's hat--which one did you use on the female Arbalist?

I used Oracle hat and added feather from Blue Mage (he is in mercenariess thread), other hats were made by Asmo or Mike, I don't remember too well.

I made portrait for this sprite, it sucks, I know, but remember that this is FIRST portrait made by me, all I did before were dumb edits.

Definitely an interesting touch for a new Oracle portrait, but the man's wearing a very different hat from the Oracles, a fine start though.

That white outline definitely needs work--right now it's just an outline. I know what effect you're going for, and to pull it off you're gonna need more shades of white and you'll need to make the outline look more like a design on the collar itself. You also need to clean up the ear and sideburns and angle off the where the hat meets the forehead.

Pretty good start. Welcome to the wonderful world of portraits.

Agreed. Uhm yeah, as time goes by, you'll finish more portraits than sprites.

Same as Saigas' arcanist sprite. Limit the black shades, then add those white shades for the clothes.

use the darker color of the trim more to give it depth
also, the trim is much too linear under his ear
