I don't know about a formula with Faith, but formula 24 has ((PA+Y)/2*MA)   I've not experimented with it, but if it works, I think Y would be the weapon damage.  The FFTPatcher can set the formula.

Ah, well, thanks.  I'll make do with ten abilities then.  I was worried that was the case.

As for the Concentrate question, I personally favor 200% Base Hit Rate most.  Somewhere between 200% and 255% is where I believe the sweet spot is for great accuracy without nullifying the usefulness of evasion setups.  Of course Abandon (I think that was the name) probably makes things a whole lot messier...

Whoops on two counts.  I didn't check the maximum number of abilities... I counted the abilities that had the appearance I was looking for.  Also I'm sure I read the break chance before but simply forgot about it.  Sorry for both.  I believe there are only ten Draw Out skills though, and boosting the amount of them are really want I'm after.  I want unique weapons with corresponding skills that can't be used if the weapon is currently equipped, and Draw Out is ideal for this.  The problem is that there's only ten abilities.  I would like to request it be increased to 16 abilities, and eating Cloths and Harps is likely the best way to go.

I suppose I should explain my other request.  What I have in mind is making it so that it takes a change that is simply unobtainable to make a permanent difference in bravery and Faith, and setting it up so that everyone has 50 in both.  With the Fury hack (and maybe some tweaks), higher Fury would boost damage and reaction abilities would probably be better off having a higher chance of occuring with lower Fury (greater presence of mind).  Combined with making more abilities have Fury raising or lowering effects, and it becomes more difficult to maintain someone at the level you want them to be at.  The idea then is to make Faith similar.  As Mages blow up stuff with their spells, it lowers and their power would wane.  Inverting the formula on the target's side and changing what it is called to Favor then has a similar effect to Fury (and of course the formula would have to be made where no one is immune).  Mages would burn through it for their spells while getting less powerful and more vulnerable, so they would need to resort to abilities to raise it instead of attacking/healing occasionally.
Basically when it is all combined, the idea is to add another form of in-battle resource management.  The values become dynamic and it becomes more difficult to get the right values that the player wants.  It would add a whole new level of battle strategy, IMO.

The first one is the one I'm really interested in, but that is a more selfish desire for my own purposes.  The second is a thought experiment that has intrigued me, and I believe others might find it very fun.  I have no real plans to do anything with the idea at this time, and it would take work to make a patch that truly utilizes it, but I'm convinced someone would wind up liking it and doing it.

I'm not trying to make any insistances, but rather to clear up what I meant as I didn't explain myself very well in my earlier post.  On second thought though... I'm dropping the Favor request entirely.  I don't think I really realized all the changes that would need to come with it to really make it into something worthwhile until I made that wall of text.

Personally, I think the claws should be much less noticeable.  In other FF games with them, you really didn't even see them.  They could probably be an estimated fourth of the size and still remain noticeable.  Of course this is only a matter of preference.

In combination with Zodiac's Fury hack, I believe hacking the option to give Bravery/Fury and Faith costs to abilities (in addition to MP) would assist in making battles far more dynamic and interesting.  It's not really necessary, but hacking the appearances of Faith to be replaced with Favor would also make more sense for this change as Fury made more sense than Bravery for that hack.

On a more selfish note (if you set priorities for requests, I would not be adverse to this being on the lowest), I would like for the Sword Spirit and/or Draw Out skillset to be increased to a total of 17 abilities.  For the weapons, eating Cloth and Bags would be ideal, but only if Bags can have the "only females can equip" and "all females can equip" attributes removed.  If not, then Flails can serve the purpose.  Additionally, if using FFTPatcher to switch the formulas can't remove the chance of breaking the item, then a hack to remove or change the chance would be much appreciated.  A concept I have in mind (that is somewhat similar to the Esperblades in its purpose) would require these changes to work...

Ah, good catch.  I should have paid more attention.

I would see them using arm shields as weapons, but I'm not sure how doable the visuals for that would be unless you make them just punch the enemy.  That would kind of drop variety since that would be two fist weapon types...  Defender style weapons would be interesting, of course, and that's probably the way they should be setup stat wise for the flavor of the unit, no matter what they ultimately end up with.  Graphically, I could see them using a heavy weapon like flails or battle hammers.

Yeah, there are two movement abilities I've noticed like that and I can't figure out what the heck they do.  They seem to put the last learned ability in the quotes when learning stuff.

The amplifier I think it was has messed up colors on the bandanna in its portrait.  Oddly enough, only the bandanna is messed up in the portrait.

I don't know what other items will boost movement in your patch at the moment, but unless you've removed Two Swords, I'll estimate up to three extra movement range with equipment alone.  With a Move +2 ability, that's nine movement on a job with four base movement.  That bonus is probably a little too potent if these other bonuses remain in the patch.  Of course those were already bad to begin with, but this would take it even further.

Wow, you completely blew me away.  I suspect you used the same reference I did.  Most of the changes seem rather simple as well.  Now that I've seen what it can be, I can't go back to what I was doing.  I would either drop it, mimic you, or steal the whole dang thing and just finish the rest of it.  The only thing I don't like is the shoulder plate as that is supposed to be metal over leather, but you've made it a simple color change probably doable with what's already there.  I think I'll take it, edit the shoulder plat colors, attempt to finish it, and then give you partial credit anyways.  I'm relieved that upon closer inspection the changes are smaller than they first appear, but I would be compelled to give you credit for cleaning it up and fixing the colors.

That shoulder pad was rather tricky to do when I tried to make it on the front view.  I couldn't get it to look right.  I guess I could try again.  Oh wait, I just noticed I overlooked the metal part of that.  That... could be a problem.  I think I'm dead-on 16 colors as it is.  Adding the shoulder stuff will be hard at best.  I'll try and shorten the gloves and boots to get in the pants and arms.  His shirt is pretty flat against him in his reference picture, and it also had plenty of deep blue.

I did everything for him as custom changes to the Knight sprite.  The clothing was fairly easy for the front view, but diagonal was frustrating me as far as how to position the yellow line.
As for the sandworm, I probably won't continue it.  It annoyed the heck out of me to get even that far, and the angle the sprite is being viewed from isn't that great.  And as you said, the depth is a pain.

Work in progress, but you can see what I have so far.  The center is to show I used Knight as a base.  It's supposed to be Ike.

I think it's obvious what this one is.  I couldn't really think of any good base, so I just used Velius as a size reference of sorts.  The shading sucks and making it was a pain in the butt as it was, so I might not do more with this one.

I can't seem to get the image tags to work... oh well.

Is their skin red, or is that just the helmet making it look like that?  Skin or faceguard, if it wasn't red then it would stand out better and look less like a Chocobo's head sewed on to a human's body.

It is my opinion that any patches that still have Onion Knights should give them Reaction, Support, and Movement abilities to keep them from being useless.  Even stat buffs are not enough as other classes with great setups should always be able to beat an Onion Knight that is restricted only to equipment.  Unless of course they at least are given high enough movement to be able to catch their target before being whittled away. Units with 7 or 8 movement total and ranged attacks will possibly always make things difficult for Onion Knights.

I've been looking around everywhere, and I can't stop thinking how awesome it all is.  I had no idea such a community existed and had so many achievements.  I'm afraid I don't have any hacking skills personally, but my curiosity got the better of me and I felt compelled to register so I could start asking about stuff.  (Currently mostly about FFT v1.3 which has intrigued me greatly.)  I probably have no talent in any of this, but I would love to learn what I can and start doing some of this stuff myself, and if that fails, I hope to at least enjoy the community and what it produces.
