I'm wanting to change the Brave & Faith values of the starting generics.

IIRC the starting range is 40-75 for both on generic starters.

I'd like to change them after they've been assigned.
IE, I get a Male with 65 Brave and 73 Faith.
I want to change him so he has 40 Brave and 75 Faith.
Things like that.

What would be the best method of doing this? Using the Excel/Hex editor? FFTPatcher?

Any help would be appreciated!

Nvm, I think I figured it out. Sorry for the clutter!

*Edit: I'm an idiot. I edited the enemies values using the ENTD in the FFTPatcher. It made the fight more interesting though.
Still trying to figure out how to modify my OWN parties Brave/Faith.

**Edit: I guess I could create a few addional units for that battle, set them to my team with the values for Br and Fa that I want, then make them Join After Event. But can I do that and not place them on the battle field... Hrmm...

Use FFTastic, a save editor. BTW why 40 Brave?

fftastic or gameshark can modify your own party's brave.

range of starter (magic city gariland) generics is 44-74.  Soldier office generics are 40-70.  The more you know!

40-70.  anything past those are setup special in the entd.

Nope, they're 44-74 too; only soldier office units are 40-70.
The starting cadets don't get a bonus; it's the opposite: Soldier office cadets get less.

My plan is to make a Male caster with 40 Brave and 74 Faith. Then equip him with Move-Find Item.
Make him a Black Mage with Geomancer as his secondary and Magic AttackUP.

FFTastic? I'll check that one out. Thanks guys!

I wouldn't recommend Geomancer as a secondary ability set, white mage is more practical. BTW, why such low bravery? There's no drawback to high bravery. Get his faith to 90 too :P

Move-Find Item is the exception to the High Bravery Rule.
The formula for Move-Find Item is something like: (100-Brave)%
 :D

Anyone have any information about converting .bin/.cdz file saves to something I can manipulate with FFTastic? I tried using Aldo's memory converter, but it doesn't like .bin/.cdz files...

I'm assuming he wants early storyline battle Move-Finds as well.

For move-find items, use FFTPatcher along with the Maps section
