uhm i know that i recently posted this on another part of this forum [and this post could get locked] but here it goes anyway.

i know i'm making the impossible happen by requesting this but can someone make a mod of final fantasy tactics? what i mean is, new story new jobs, new skills, new battlefields, new characters, new sprites, new everything minus the fmv, [well except the opening zodiac brave that is.] maybe you guys can base it on when st. ajora was still alive. it's not like i doubt your abilities to make a completely new game but it would be really cool to see one. i'll pay to play that one. yeah. thanks and please post on what you think.

or maybe make the story line start at the beginning of the 50-year war, or as i said the time when st. ajora was still alive.

There are a lot of projects going on right now that are basically completely new. Check out Mercenaries or FFT Remix.

yeah i know. hope someone takes note of my idea. about the 50-year war or about the time when ajora was still alive. i read some posts on this forums about their ideas and some strike me as surprising. i wont say the project's name [or patch name for that matter] but some patches tend to go for the sequel or prequel. what i needed to know was how did the zodiac stones or the zodiac braves exist? or if they played a significant part in the 50-year war. as ramza said, "time and again whenever ivalice is in chaos, the zodiac braves come and save the day and disappear once again."

Once someone gets done with a project, making a prequel to FFT centering around the 50 year war would be a good idea. I'm currently producing a Sequel to FFT

FYI I doubt Asmo means that.

Asmo is basically the creative genuis behind many of the projects at FFH, without him a few of our most popular projects would hardly look like they do today, it is unwise to doubt Asmo's sagacity.

sadness can be turned to delight.

the dead brought back to life."

I wasn't doubting his sagacity I was doubting his ability to not be a twit to people but if you guys have his back maybe there is a heart in there somewhere after all.

anyways, here's what i plan to go with the story.....

so is ivalice in fft and ivalice in ff12 connected? well,  i would like to assume that it is possible. considering that in fft mustadio said that "during the time of st. ajora, machines flied in the sky and robots walked the earth." so ff12 has those things. although the viera and those pig-like creatures and the bangga where no-where to be found on fft. i would like to go with they were just kind of extinct during the time of fft. in ff12 a viera leaving their forest cannot survive very long. so maybe there were reasons for them to be extinct. hehehe. although its just me but hey, its just an idea right?

Dude no one is going to make a patch for you. Are you fucking retarded or something?

Sorry altimitt, that's not how things work.

We give you the tools.  YOU make the patch.

95% of the time, if someone comes up the an idea it will die unless the person who came up with the idea is aggressive enough to make it happen himself.

I suppose our sarcasm was missed on you, but now you know.  Now Asmo is really good about giving feedback, as LD has said, but he most certainly isn't going to make YOUR patch for you.

But if you get something started yet need serious help to work out kinks, you can come back and ask us for tips on getting around your problems.
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Quoteso is ivalice in fft and ivalice in ff12 connected?

In practice?  No.

If some game dev told you that Yuna was Jenova's mother, what would you say?

And any possible plot holes created by this revelation can be answered with a simple "a wizard did it."
Just another rebel plotting rebellion.

Technically, they could be the same Ivalice, just many hundreds of years, possibly thousands apart. St. Ajora is mentioned in the history of both FF12 and FFT's Ivalices. Sadly, there are no other real connections, and we cannot know if they are the same, because none of the games have the entire world map (well, FF12 might, but I haven't played through it completely)

In this picture, you can obviously see that the map we have there is NOT the entire world, as the land extends further east, and there is another landmass to the north-west

and you can see in this map, that the land extends west! None of the games have the entire world map =P

Umm... but SE even says they are connected. Even Vagrant Story is in the same Ivalice and that's not even an FF.
