Ambidexterity weapons choices?

Before I grind for 600 Brawler JP I was wondering if anybody knows if this applies to all 1 handed weapons since the description is "Allows you to wield a weapon in each hand".

A weapon will state if it's possible by the little text "Ambi".

Swords, some knives (certain ones are inaccessible with it), claws, and I believe staves are as well. Not 100% sure if anything else is applicable off the top of my head.

Okay, I never actually used those weapons so I didn't see the ambi, too bad crossbows and whips can't be dual wielded >.<
