Title: epsxe160
Post by: k3yblad3 on March 14, 2009, 11:55:45 pm
That's the current emulator I'm using. However, I'm having a few problems with it.
The sound, for one, is pretty bad. For instance, dark sword makes more of a pew sound rather than its regular sound. Also, a lot of the lighting shows up wrong, like where the shadows would be black, they're white and a few other things like that.
I know it's not the iso file, because I also tried it with my CD of the game and the same thing happened there.
I'm just wondering which emulators you guys use or if you have any recommendations.

Thanks, I upgraded to 1.7.0 and it fixed all my sound issues, the problem with the lighting is still there, but I guess I can just ignore it. Ok, just changed a few settings and my graphics are perfect now too XD

Lol. Nice. Glad to see that problem solved ^^
I used v1.6 before and yea.....you need to download plugin for sound, video, and others separately.
v1.7 is much better. Everything is in there. Just need bios1001 or something like that ^^

1.7 is wonderful. Not only did it solve my graphics and sound problems but also I don't get slowdowns anymore.

PSX 1.13 here. Works like a charm (some sounds are off, but no slowdown and the only other bug is rarely the music goes out of sync)

PSXeven

It works fine, and because the Epsxe emushit keeps running even though I close it; have to restart comp everytime.

Your exiting out of it incorrectly, regardless, you can always close it through the 'Windows Task Manager'.

It happens to me every so often. Nothing like a good ole' End Process to shut it up though.

Well....I had the same problem last time when i'm playing megaman on epsxe. Lol ^^
Well, when you wanna close it, do not click the "x" on the window. That way, your emu will keep running because did not shut it down properly.
But like Cid said, you can always close it from 'Windows Task Manager'.
The right way to close is, when you wanna close it, press "Esc" button instead of clicking the "x" button.
After pressed "Esc" button, you can click the close button and your emu will closed and will not run anymore. ^^
Hope this helps ^^

1.60 runs perfectly with the right plugins / settings for the game

1.70 is ok but 1.60 can run perfectly too

1.70 has some issues with running some games at 200 FPS

Quotebecause the Epsxe emushit keeps running even though I close it; have to restart comp everytime.

press ESC so the emulators window goes back to the epsxe logo and THEN close it

dont close it while its running

Yea. 1.6 runs smoothly with right plugins / settings ^^
Ooo....meaning the game need to be running at 200FPS?
Lol...didn't knew that.
