Having trouble with Character Name Editing..

Hey. I just wondered.. do I have to edit Character names in every file, i.e. not just ATTACK.OUT, but also EVENT.OUT, for an example? Because, I managed to change Ramza's name to "Oscar" but I can't seem to get the other characters names to change in the Prologue. Does this mean Ihave to eit their guest versions AND their playable/Enemy (I'm looking at you Gaff..) forms?

Yep, you have to do it in several places. You might find this helpful:

You have to edit all versions of the unit if you want the effect to take place during all the game. We don't know ifeven all files are used, or when they are used.

But for the sake of making sure, you should edit them all.

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

awsome I was wondering this my self... !!! can we make custome items as well??? or atleas edit the way some look and implent them to the game?

yeah the patcher lets you do that, and you can name them too... but most of the item slots are full... get rid of something crappy...

awsome so it's possible for me to edt like the dager into my own custom weapon!?!? ohh ha ha ha, lol time to make zanpactos

ya you can, you could edit the attack animations of the weapons too but that would mean youd change any other weapon with the same gfx. still you can assign specific gfx to each weapon.
