But will they outmatch my equipment and skills to a greater degree if I grind a little? When I played FFT+ I found that the higher level you became, the tougher the game got. Exp was essentially a bad thing. Is this the same?

Trying this out. At first, it's a bit tough. I'm finding I need to play a couple random maps to get the skills and equipment I feel I need to beat dorter trade city. And that worries me, is this hack like other hacks where the more I level up, the harder battles get?

I just wish I knew this before I wasted a bunch of time burning ISOs and playing through the beginning multiple times.

Well, I know nothing about about hacking FFT, but I know FFT 1.3 worked on PSP and as a burned iso on PS2.

Mind you, FFT 1.3 is far more difficult than I wish to enjoy, but that is why this hack on said platforms.

I tried it on a PS2 and PSP. The crash happens consistently whenever I try to change classes (on either system). I've tried downloading two different ISOs in case one was a bad rip or something and it happens on both.

If you like, I will try it on an emulator, but could someone supply me with a save file? I'm sure you can understand I'm a bit sick of playing the beginning 2 battles (once on PSP and once on PS2).

When I go to swap classes the game freezes up! Did I patch the wrong ISO? What should I try?

Just played it on PS1. Game still crashes when changing classes. Since my issue has nothing to do with the game being played on PSP, I'm making a new topic which does not refer to it being played on PSP in the title.

Mods, please delete should you wish to.

Just checked it out. Looks pretty cool, but I've played vanilla so much I'm looking for something with more changes.

Good to know. Fortunately I have a flip-top PS2. Thanks for the info and I'll be checking back here in case anyone has anything to add, because *sobs* I wanted to play it on a PSP!

I'm using a PSP to play FFT patched with FFT Plus, converted into an Eboot. Game runs great, but whenever I try to change classes the game freezes for a few seconds and then shuts the whole system off. It's almost like the game can't find the class change animation.

Any suggestions? Do you think I have a bad patch, or that the problem stems from trying to run it on a PSP?
