Final Fantasy Hacktics

Not really planning on making the whole thing because finals are coming up, but I've seen numerous mentions of Kain from FFIV needing to be made into a sprite.
I got the armor colors from the second black mage palette.

Well, that's certainly a good start! Kain for FFT would be fabulous!!

I've been planning on doing custom FFIV character sheets for some time now.

Kain is on top of my list, and a must.

Rydia and Cecil (paladin) are the other two possible candidates.

If there's a vote, definitely Paladin Cecil.

Yes, Paladin Cecil. And possibly Dark Knight.
But feel free to use my Kain as a base! I just got bored and was creating some copy pasta for a rather large desktop BG I'm working on.

Well, CidIII already made Dark knight.


As for Kain, im aiming at the new purple-ish look, a varint of it will be the old blue one.
A preview will come in a while.

Once I find a good pallete, I'll get into this more seriously. I used the original dragoon pallete to shape the most basic stuff.

Right now, it must have like a thousand flaws, may the critiques now Commence!

Kain's is my favorite Final Fantasy character EVER. Glad to see you are doing him some justice.

Pointy nose, awesome sprite.

Whoa! Kain buffed up a bit! As much as I love the boots on the normal lancer, I'll have to go with version 5, since it's much more truthful to his look. Kain is probably one of the most complicated FF characters, definitely ranks high in my favorite characters. Keep it up!

Definitely awesome. Like LastingDawn said though he looks particularly buff and I'm wondering if he needs to be a pixel taller. Other than that I think everything will look good with a new palette.

Once you changed the arms, they started looking a bit scrunched, but other than that, it is a very awesome Dragoon.  I wouldn't hesitate in replacing the normal Dragoon sprite with that if there was a replacement for each palette.
