Help! / Re: Forcing Item as secondary skillset
June 12, 2017, 02:03:09 pm
I have a theory that I will put in practice in my new patch (I finally gave up on PSP  :()

You can normalize the Equip change skill set using ASMs and the trough the patcher change the Action Menu to "Item" and add the abilities, rename it on TacText, and add to all classes in mind innate "Equip Change" and see what happens.

Might work, let me know since I copying everything I made for PSP to PSX at the moment and I'm unable to verify it.

Good Luck

Help! / Re: Formula 37 on multiple targets.
June 11, 2017, 02:32:53 am
Sorry I think I didn't explained myself.

The effect I was trying to see if work on multiple targets are not the animation effects but the knockback effect.
I understand that not all animation works on multiple targets (there are a collection of videos showing that). I only wanted to see if the knockback can happen on multiple targets.

Thanks in advance

Help! / Formula 37 on multiple targets.

Greetings everyone.
I would like to know if the effect can happen when a skill is multi target since I made a few tests without success. I gave up pretty easily and maybe I wasnt lucky.

Any leads regarding this?

Spriting / Reworking Cloud sprites.
May 31, 2017, 02:55:35 pm
Hi everyone!
This is my first attempt to "fix" sprites. I started with Cloud since I didn't liked at all the FFT version and I'm trying to make it as close as possible to the FF7 once without changing the original pallete.

I would like to know if I'm in the right path because I know that in the original design the brown treads in the back form a "Y" but n this one is a "X". On the standing animation shot I totally got it but on regular ones I don't really get since the view its isometric.

This is my advance so far:

Help! / Re: Counter Learne by hit
May 28, 2017, 03:44:22 am
Thanks for the info.

As for the two steps you told me I already tried it that, sorry I didn't specify.

I tried by first learning the tackle and then the reaction and also tried the other way around with no results.
I have concluded that it cannot be done. It's a shame because it could have been interesting getting a counter by "learning" it.

But, if somebody proves me wrong I'll happily change my opinion.

Help! / Counter Learne by hit
May 27, 2017, 03:15:52 am
In short is it possible to learn IE Counter Tackle if being hit by it?

I know you must toogle the flag on the ability but it wasn't learned when the "master" countered the "learner". Do I must set anything else or it just can't happen?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much Raven.

I'll give it a look and see what can I do.

Hello!

I've trying to change the palette for Miluda in the event after the Thieve's Fort. I've changed the palettes on the EVENT_EVTCHR_BIN_678400_25600.bmp file that correspond to the Dead Corps theme.

I've changed the palette for battles and it works but in the event I can't get any results.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

BTW I've cheking this event trough the records section. I don't know if it got something to do with it.

That's what I though.

Well anyway I'm almost finishing this project and since I have edited a LOT on the patcher I might better stay on it and migrate to PSX afterwards.

Thanks for the info anyways.

Sorry for double post but I thought this was important:

It seems that the issue has something to do with the text prior to the item variable {0xE9}.
So I found a way to make it work
Go to BOOT.BIN [28E5EC]>3:Battle messages>
On line 28 "Discovered item
{0xE9} Found!
On line 29 Discovered item (Full stock)
{0xE9} Found!{Newline}
Got {0xE4} gil for it{Newline}
because you can't have any more.

Also changed on 4:Battle messages>Line 54 Found item
{0xE9} Found!

If anyone else found errors even after this please be kind to respond. Maybe I overlook something that helped me.

Regards

By the way this is for the PSP version.
151
Well that is pretty bad news.

Do you know if there is a way to "import" all what have you done on a PSP hack to a PSX version on the patcher?
Because honestly I have made a lot of work and I prefer to finish what I'm on doing on the PSP than to start all over again.

Greetings!

I've been working on the PSP version and using text editor .457 version.

The situation is that when I found an item with Find item ability it only displays the first 2 characters of said item. I found a post with something similar but the workarounds didn't work for me. (I've made changes on unit names for porpouses of this project)

I've cleaned the added info on Unit names on all recurrences but the issue is still there.

Anyone has an idea what data must be restored to default to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance to any leads/info.

Regards.

Thanks for replying.

And yes, for the disgust of all, I'm doing a project on WotL.
Anyway it's ok, I think I'll have to handle it manually. The main attraction for me was the possibility to update the resources file, something that I found pretty convenient.

So I think I'll use it when I'm finished with this and start working on the PSX. I'm kinda fond of the PSP version and the headaches for being very hard to hack are part of my "training" on this. In fact I discovered a way to add additional fully functional Iaido abilities with no ASM hacks, which I'll implement on this project.

So thanks for the tool anyway I'll check it on its due time.

I recently found this:

http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=10443.0

This method worked wonders for me. The only difference is that I was patching directly to the modded ISO and saving a ffttext file just for backup using only one FFTacText (ver .457). As pointed before, the trick is to patch directly and not using a ffftext file.

A call to the mods, this needs to be stickied. It took sometime to find something useful like this.
This will help a lot to the newbies like myself who would like to do something with WOTL and can't find enough info.

Hi there,

I downloaded the file and using Excel 2010 but I'm keep getting this error message:

Run-time error 1004:
Unable to get VLookup property of the Worksheet Function class

What's wrong on my end?
156
Hey thanks for the reply man. Maybe I need to check my installed version since I removed a lo of things when installing Office for space sake. I'll try to give a try later since i just found the tunes I was looking for.

I'll keep you posted.

Hello everyone, I'm new in this and would like to know if thereĀ“s a specific way to open the file on excel, because I used Excel 07 and 10 and it says the following

" This workbook has lost its VBA project, ActiveX controls and any other programmability-related features."

Any clue regarding this?

Thanks in advance

Journey of the Five Ch.1 / Re: Bug Reports
January 05, 2014, 11:57:14 pm
Hi!
I'm completely new on this project and I'm liking it so far (2 battles) but my main concern is that the game crashes at the first fight on the 3rd turn of Bartholomew (or somehing like that) I had to use cheats in order to advance the game and avoid seeing the whole intro again and again. That happened 3 times at the exact same point.
The other crash happened on the 2nd battle in the 3rd turn (if I remember correctly) of Cloud.

Now the point is that I'm using my PSP to play this hack, I don't know if this happens with all CFW or only mine at the moment.
The version is 5.50 Prome-4, and if somebody can't use cwcheats just make a new set on the cheats editor and use JOTF_94221 the Sony code.

Hope this helps, thanks for a great project!!
