Completed Mods / Re: War of the Lions Tweak v2.52

Hey, just found this hack, and am AMAZED that we're at the point where we have actual ASM hacking on the PSP version!

Question related to that more so than the mod in question: Would it be possible to modify the Rendezvous mechanic to allow for single player? I dove into your patch notes and like how you handled giving the Multiplayer items to the player, but I would still love to actually fight those battles!

Quick one about the Midlight's Deep changes. I'm only getting ready to start playing this, so forgive me what would be an obvious answer if I went myself.

So, basically, how do the multiplayer Replacements for Midlight's Deep work in terms of how Midlight's Deep is normally played? In the regular one, you have to find certain spots in the map to open up the next area, but here you've replaced (From what I can tell) all of the Midnight's Deep maps with the Rendezvous fights. Do we just have to complete the Rendezvous fights to continue?

Also, does it randomly pick out of the list for each floor you provided in the first post?

Finally, since I don't see the TERMINUS fight in the list- How does one acquire Byblos and/or Zodiark in this patch? I figure Zodiark may be a simple as fighting Elidibus in one of the Rendezvous fights, but...

:-)
But remember, I made the patch with the tools and the help FFH gave me. this is not a solo project ;-)

Well, color me now interested again. I assume you're also going to throw in that new translation you were talking about? It would appear I now have new interest in this.

If I could throw in a minor request? Please change it so the Cross button is the accept and O is reject like it is in most other US games? It's the most jarring experience moving between the two set ups.

You know, I was going to be so disappointed if I couldn't do this since I moved to pure PPSSPP play. Glad to see there's a way.

This and 1.3 are both patches that focus on rebalancing the game and make it harder
1.3 puts more emphasis on the "harder" part, while Plus main focus is to make the game enjoyable for everyone, even for who never played the game before (So, it's obviously easier. It gets difficult later, but only near the end and in post-game sidequest)

How does it get more difficult later? Is it like 1.3, where everyone's level scales, or does it use static levels similar to the original?

Hello Furby, welcome to FFH!

Try using the patch found here for the US version. Good luck! http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=9208.msg184086#msg184086

Thanks for the welcome!

That's the one I've been attempting to apply to my US ISOs, but doesn't seem to do anything at all. I'm sure it's not just my ISO, since I've been using them from multiple sources (SElf Rip of the UMD, Self creation of the PSN version, and one acquired through other means).

My apologies if this is beyond what the board likes for replying to topics past their last post, but I'm having trouble with this.

I'm attempting to get this to work on the US version, but am not having any luck. I can get the EUR version to work on an appropriate ISO, but by default I prefer US. Has anyone managed to get that port of it working?
