Ok, just discovered this patch today while trying to get the hard mode gs code to work. anyway, I have all the stuff, but am having trouble importing the patched file back into the image. I right-click on the file in cdmage, but there is no option for importing files that shows up. What should I do?

I had the same problem when I first started using CDMage. It turns out I had a version of the prog that didn't have the import function.
My version is 1.02.1 and it has the right features.

Ok, I got the right version, and imported the newly patched battle.bin and .21 file, then saved the new version in the image folder for my emulator, but nothing happens. None of the changes took place. I downloaded the patch from this site, so its got to be good. What now?

.21? Don't know what those are. Where did you get your image? It is always possible that the iso is imperfect in some way.

I believe he's referring to the SCUS, which ends in .21
"Moment's anger can revert to joy,
sadness can be turned to delight.
A nation destroyed cannot be restored,
the dead brought back to life."

Sounds like you are doing it right...

So you used the FFTPatcher to generate a SCUS_942.21 file (after having made changes to something like Jobs/Items/Skills, not ENTD).

You used CDMage or CDProg to import the SCUS_942.21 into the FFT game.

And yet nothing happened?  Perhaps a more detailed explanation of what you actually changed would be helpful.  Make sure you do not start your game using SAVE STATES.  That will completely negate any changes made from the SCUS_942.21.

[Note that I may have misspelled something]
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Yup. Vincent Craven nailed it right on. It was my save state that was messing the whole deal up. I had to have deleted ten to fifteen different patched images, all that worked perfectly. Oh the irony of life! Thanks for all the help people. Also, I did notice that not everything from the "war of the gods" videos I saw on u-tube was there. Were the rest added by game shark?

damn those war of the gods videos, always confusing people

yes WOTG is all GS codes man, to make the game harder.

1.2 is just the patch for the iso

1.2 / 1.3 are NOT WOTG. completely separate things.

Alright, I found the codes, but am having trouble getting them to work. So far I have been using the gameshark v5 on my emulator, but it doesnt like the hard mode code, and if it wont support that, then the rest probably wont want to work either. I tried using a program called "cep", but it doesnt detect my emulator, PSXFIN when I search for the process. Anyone know what else I can do?
