Weird text issues

So I patched this onto my PSX FFT and the everything was fine up until I got into the tutorial battle. Some of the job names are off and the abilities are almost all spelled in an odd way. Like one of Ramza's abilities was just "Spea" and Agrias' abilities were spelled like lastsupAer or something odd, plus when I went to change some of them to auto battle; a lot of the options were using symbols like %$& and whatnot. Any help?

Oh, yeah. Don't use the tutorial. It doesn't have anything new and it breaks the game.
