I've wondered if anybody might wanna redo the female samurai? I thought maybe a kimono or something. The current samurai looks weird.

I mentioned this in the Mercs forum, but I'd like to see Yojimbo and Daigoro made into FFT sprites please. :)

Here is an update on Thief Zero. He is coming along very nicely so far and obviously shouldn't be too hard of a sprite to get done overall. The knot animates very well, I just don't have a gif animator right now but I will try doing a gif preview later. I might need some help with more mask angles later, but I'm doing fine for now, though the rear walking views will be a bit harder.

Wow, looking great ^^
Looking forward to the sprite. Also, Shishi has animation preview and GIMP can make gif. Just attach them in layers ^^

Self made probably. Depends on what you want Young Vormav to look like, then just replace the heads and probably change his portrait and you'll have Young Vormav. Take a look at download section, there's a sprite called Young Kletian.

I think you could use a different palette...  That doesn't look like any palette I've seen.  It is eyesore saturated.  The colors don't exactly look like they belong together either.  The most common recommendation for spriters is to use an already existing palette or to use colors from existing palettes.

alright...Hmm...seeing as it's a younger version of Vormav... I could probably just use elements from Delita chap.2 and give them a slight tweak or two and then maybe add the young Vormav head to the mix. I'll have it up probably tomorrow.

Alright- I have an updated version ready. Took me about 30 minutes, but I took the head of Younger Vormav and put it on the Delita Chap. 2-3 Sprite, and tweaked it a little (hair tye, front colors, etc.) so it matches the older Vormav's style- with purple up to the neck- and I used an actual legit palette for this one.

The purple is saturated. Use existing purple. The sprite's hair looks flat and why is the back hair sticking out so much? If you want to make a short ponytail, use Mustadio. The portrait's hair is messy, sideburn/beard is flat, that big yellow thing tying back hair is big and flat. I suggest make short pony like Mustadio if you want an extend of back hair. Though, I preferred just sideburn and beard for young look.

Palette looks alright, but I can't really tell what's going on with his hair.  The portrait has the band looking... just weird, and the sprite makes it look like his hair is jutting rigidly out to the side with a clip towards the end.

First of all change his chest, geezm it looks... well let's just say that it looks bad. I advise changing his whole hair, just copy/paste Vormav head and recolor it to brown(take Izlude hair color), and if you want this strange tie on his head badly, take it from Female Archer.

Use existing sprite parts for the sprite: e.g. Ch. 2 Delita's body, Vormav's head, Mustadio's ponytail. For palette: use everything from regular Vormav; the purples, the golds, the browns, etc. Get the basic poses of the sprite down, and then begin work on the portrait. Trying to do two things at once is never easy.

If anyone's bored, I'd like the following frakensprite:

Smash's Cavalier sprite's body.
Weigraf's head.

No need to worry about the portrait.

Anyone willing to try and put a red sash belt on Thief Zero, like in the concept art? I just can't get it looking all that good.

Thanks Jimmy. The tricky bit is getting the shirt to be a bit shorter and then deciding on how to do the longer whispy bits of the belt. Oh and I have all the rear animations for the mask done and will be posting them in the nearish future, I just want to figure out a good GIF preview.
