My Fiancee found this online and thought it was interesting so now I'm trying to see if I can reach a hundred:
http://hundredpushups.com/ (http://hundredpushups.com/)
I did my initial test a week ago and did 40. So I started on week 3 in the program.
Day 1: I was supposed to do 14,18,14,14 and then at least 18. I did 14,18,14,14 and just managed 18 with a short break.
Day 2: I was supposed to do 20,25,15,15 and then at least 25. I did everything barely and once again had to take a short break on the last set to get 25.
Day 3: Is 22,30,20,20 and at least 28. I'm going to try them in a few hours.
Has anyone else done this or want to try?
I'm in
but im confused
shouldnt it just be 100 in a row?
why the sets?
Because most people can't do 100 in a row, it's a training program that eventually leads up to doing 100 consecutive push-ups.
oh ok... so um... alright
I'm going to the gym tonight with a friend to do SHOULDERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and
TRAPSSSSS
I'll see how many I can do
Well I got through my day 3 push-ups just barely again. I needed to take a 30 second break to finish the last 6 or my final set of 28.
Every football practice we had to do 100 in a row, without a single break.
That is good stuff, I have done 100 consecutive pushups before as well. But you have to build up to it and I'm just seeing if this program actually works.
By Week 6 you'll be doing over 200 push-ups non-consecutively, I'd hope by that time you'd be able to do at least 100 in a row, if not more.
The 200 sit-up challenge would be really easy.
I only manged 43 on my first try, good god am I out of shape..
