Okay, I couldn't really replicate the look of the sprites the way I wanted, and for that I apologize, but here are my attempts. Each portrait is 16 colors, and the portrait at the bottom is supposed to be for the sprite here.

So I guess I need to better implement the palette here...

Very nice palette choice there mav. I like them all. ^^
So, the blue armor is the original portrait for the sprite? I mean corresponding with that sprite ^^

Technically, yes. The blue one goes with the blue clothed one...who's technically blond. If you look at the sprite file, you'll see the one who wears aqua clothes has dark hair and the one who wears red has reddish or orange hair. If I lighten the hair, I can make the blue one blond and the red one more of a redhead, but the aqua one will likely lose her darker hair color.

I dunno yet; I'll see if I can fix it.

Ah, I see. Well, they are looking great. Though hope you can fix the blonde, just for better fitting to the sprite ^^

Hey, this looks great !
You took the background ''Gold'' armor and put it the same color as the hair, allowing us to change only the skirt ?

Brillant !

So now we can have different hair and skirt colors? Fantastic. Should I modify the portraits? All blond, with different colored armor and slightly different colored hoods? Or is it all gold armor, different hair colors, and slightly different hood colors? Blah.

I think it is only a skirt difference... mabey you could change only a little of the shirt, Mav ?

Technically you can do a lot with the sprite's palette now. There's a very light yellow shade that seems extraneous, if you can drop that, you can probably distinguish her hair and armor from her body. Not to mention that you can give her new skirt colors and hood colors (assuming you utilize palettes like on the Priests--i.e. light palettes).

Okay, here's a 16 color portrait. Technically she's wearing cloth, but it looks like armor...yeah. I can also give her different light colored hoods, which I'll show you on later palettes.

Updated previous post to show purples, since it's a drastically underused color...

Very nice mav, though I think that cloth is too armor. Perhaps show her neck more, like the sprite? Then add a little purple cloth below before the end there, perhaps? ^^
