Thanks guys. Still needs some great advice to make it perfect.
Sorry Cheetah, but I don't see any orange pixels...
I do see a light red pixel at the top.

EDIT: I removed the dark outlines around his cheek and removed that light red pixel at the top.
Kindly upload the images to other image hosting sites. I can't view imageshack. Thanks.

It looks decent as it is, yet you wish to perfect it.

I never run out of harsh C&C. :)

There is a black mess at the backside of the hat, and the hair on the back looks weird, looks like it has some weird dithering on it with the random orange pixels.. Hell, all the hair overall looks meh, the front bang has the lightest orange on the edge, which is not FFT and it's done incorrectly anyway. Also, the transition between it and the face is ugly as hell. See similar transitions in other mugs to do it correctly, and learn the proper way to do bangs. See time mage F, Miluda, or Reis..ect.

Another thing that bothers me, the white collar thing. On the right side, the dark gray mug bg color has a horrible transition with the skin color, a shadow like outline, or even the white alone could do better. Also, fix the roundness of it on the right end.
Now for the left side, my only crit would be to turn pixel (x11,y46) into white, and pixel (x10,y42) into the bg color.

There's more, but I need to go now. Perhaps I could continue later.

And also, I favor the return of the dark outlines for the reds on the body.

Smash, thanks alot for the critiques and advices.

Before that...

X11, Y46

X10, Y42

EDIT: Smash, you crit about the left side of the white colar of changing (x11, y46) to white and (x10, y42) to bg color, right?
Well, I took a look and (x11, y46)'s color is white, while (x10, y42)'s color is also white but if change to bg color, it becomes like the above...

EDIT: Sorry. I totally forgotten the white colour. Lol.

This is what I managed to come up after taking your advice.

What do you think? ^^

EDIT: I know the backhair still look like hell...I'll get on to that. I haven't fix the hair is because I'm in hurry and this is what I managed to do. So I just post it to get more critques from you ^^

EDIT: I did the hair but it looks likes hell of mess =.=
Haha. Sorry but any more critiques? ^^

I tried to fix the hair but it still looks a hell of mess.
Haha. Am I missing some basic shading concept for this mug's hair shading? ^^

To me he cheek seems to be overly large for some reason.
Oh pitiful shadow lost in the darkness, bringing torment and pain to others. Oh damned soul wallowing in your sin, perhaps...it is time to die

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

Ok.
Is the cheek smaller now?
Of course still needs some shadings but I just fixed the cheek to see if it's still large.

I tried looking for tutorials that resembled FFT shading and how to do it.. Found shit.
http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/tutorials.asp

Perhaps I should make one here for the site.

Bah...This is the best I can do =.=
And it still look like shit....
I'm not sure besides the hair if there's still major fix needed but the hair makes the overall mug look ugly =.=

My only complaint is that the collar looks a little funny at the dark outlines.  Too thick or something.  Other than that, I think the lower image looks just fine.

Not bad at all.
I'll try reviving this thread, for a change. :P

The clothes and the face are excellent, imo.
You should work on the shadings on Llednar's hat, and hair.
the Shading on the HAT is awkward with the light source, imo.

and, I think, the 2nd one is the better one.

Hmmm...With the whites on the collar and the hat thing, you gotta make sure you don't outline. That's what it looks like right now. In fact, the shoulders have a bit of outlining on 'em too. You have a lot of dark reds here; use 'em! Speaking of reds, the hat doesn't blend smoothly enough--the darker shades are too dark in comparison with the lightest shade. Once that's balanced out, it'll look great.

You did this from scratch, right?

Yup. From scratch. But if take a look back at page 5, you can see that what I have from scratch and what Smash changed, it is far better than what I did (as usual). Haha.
Yeah. I know the shadings overall are off. I tried numerous times with all the references from existing portraits but still can't make it right =.=

I enjoy it. Sorry if I'm seeming the wuss or as if blind, but I can't find a proper problem.

The top one of the second to last post of yours is my favorite.\

Edit: one problem: The left side of the hat does seem a little bit weird with light.

Shading is so damn tough. And having to operate within the low color confine makes things even harder...This thing can be fixed though. I'll take an in-depth look at it to figure out how.

Yeah. I think the left side of the hat need some dark shadings right?
Right at the middle where there's a little fold on the hat.
