News:

Use of ePSXe before 2.0 is highly discouraged. Mednafen, RetroArch, and Duckstation are recommended for playing/testing, pSX is recommended for debugging.

Quick question: will this patch be available as a ppf before the tourney, or will it only be available as a fftpatch file?

Help! / Re: From Windows 7 to Mac Snow Leopard!

Another option is to use Crossover Games, from Codeweavers. It costs $30, but it can run ePSXe well. You can also download a trial version to see if it will work on your computer.

.BMP files are big, especially compared to .JPG and other image files.

Quote from: "degrofm"So I got the Windows version to run on my Mac in Crossover Games, if you care about that at all...
Cool! I don't think I ever tried Ganesha or map2gl in wine... Good to know. Does it seem fast enough?

Yeah, it definitely seemed to be running at a reasonable speed. I'll have to play around with it a bit more, but from what I did it seemed to work just fine.

PSX FFT Hacking / Re: Bug in vanilla FFT?
January 02, 2010, 02:54:40 pm
This exact thing happened to me when I tried to run 1.3 and vanilla in PCSX...I could never figure out how to get it to move past Gaffy's turn.

So to answer your question Arch, it definitely is real. Though he says that it never did this before he engaged tool assistance...

Quote from: "nates1984"Careful and patient readers will know the answer, and I am only interested in what these types of readers think. Harry Potter and Twilight fans can go fuck themselves.

I resent the fact that you lump Harry Potter and Twilight fans in the same category. I'm not saying that Harry Potter is on the same level as, say, The Lord of the Rings, but still, it is FAR better than Twilight. Be careful of making sweeping generalisations.

New thought: I looked at my espxe 1.60 folder, and the burutter.dll file is just in the regular folder, not in any subfolder (I don't know why I thought it had to go to the System folder...). I'd suggest downloading epsxe again, and see if that solves the problem.

Oh, the dll needs to be in a different folder, not the EPSXE folder. I believe you need to move burutter.dll to the WINDOWS/System folder.

I would say that the red needs to be slightly brighter, and the black needs to be a little darker and with slightly more blue (if that is at all possible).

Off-topic note: I love Diablos, the fight with him can be ridiculous.

Quote from: "SilvasRuin"If you bored a hole straight to the other side of the Earth, vacuum-sealed it, and then dropped something through, how long would it take for the object to get to the other side?

I believe that it would never reach the other side, since it would drop through, would get almost to the other side, then would be pulled back to the center by the force of gravity from the center. It's been a bit since I last took physics, and I remember talking about something like this but...I don't remember any of the specifics.

Quote from: "Mental_Gear"That's not actually possible, so who cares?

Well, this is Spam, and we can care about what we want here.

Quote from: "Sephirot24"Then at least leave Draw out with smart targeting.
For summons, reduce those which had HUGE AOE (Leviathan, Bahamut) to normal AOE (Ifrit, Shiva) and give' em smart targeting.

I thought that summons already had smart targeting, if by smart targeting you mean "only targets enemies."

Quote from: "tithin"If we're not limited to just video games, I'd have to say that Cersei Lannister tops my list of villains. Every other member of her family bar tyrion holds some form of personality that could be possibly construed as villainesque*, but they all hold suitable motivations, and change during the course of the story, for the better. Not Cersei no, she actually gets worse as the story goes on, and when she finally attains power, she bungles it in such a miraculous faction it's hilarious to watch from a meta point of view.

(*Well, barring her father, but he's not really a villain, just misled).

Quoted for truth.
